Embassy Robot -- MUST SEE!
I found this video tonight while I was surfing the net. It's a video that a company made to showcase an idea for an Embassy protection robot that can work with police in third world countries. It reminds me of RoboCop, but better.
If you go here: http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~cagilber/ And right click and save target as on the last file and you will be able to watch it. It's 17mb, but well worth the wait if you have slow internet. |

That thing is so incredibly cool. As soon as I watched that I was reminded of the "Sergeant York's" Of Stephen Coont's "Hong Kong" Anyone who's read the book knows what Im talking about. If you havent read it, I suggest you do, it's an excellent book :).

I'm still not sure whether that's just a person in a robot suit.

Re: Embassy Robot -- MUST SEE!
Especially when Issac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics states that 1. "A robot may not injure a human being or through inaction allow a human being come to harm." 2. "A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the 1st Law." 3. "A robot must protect its own existence, as long as such protection does not conflict with the 1st or 2nd laws."

Re: Embassy Robot -- MUST SEE!
Tell that to the US government. Robots are the future of warfare.
