How does IR beacon connect to EDU RC?

In the diagram on FIRST website, the IR transimitters are connected to a 3-pin PWM port. And according the other documents, the beacon is supposed to be powered by the EDU RC. But the EDU RC we have only has 4-pin PWMs. So how do we go from 3-pin to 4-pin or are we missing something very obvious?

Our robot is driving and we have a arm that can go up to 8 ft. We have 17 days to figure out the autonomous mode. But without getting the IR beacon to working, we can't start automode programming.

Appreciate any help in advance.

only three of the pins on the PWM ports do anything, I think the 4th pin is an extra power or gnd pin

check the EDU RC reference manual at the innovationFIRST website - there is also a whole page of links there that explains how to use the EDU as a beacon.

One of the row (the outer one) is label "black", Just hook the connector up with the black wire on that pin. The other pin (the inner most) is not connected to anything. (It is, as Ken said, an extra power pin for the edu-motors)
