An Update to FIRSTrobotics.net

Hey All, I finally got around to posting galleries going all the way back to 1992! Granted there aren't many pics up there for the older seasons, but if anyone has pictures not listed there, just drop me an e-mail so I can get them up there. 2004 galleries have been started as well, but only that gorgeous swampthing is up as of yet. Soon to come......History pages with descriptions of all the past games, and maybe some other goodeis as well. After the season is over, I hope to start galleries of mechanisms as well. Tell me what you think.........

For 1998, you have have a picture labeled as being of team 177 but it appears as if it's actually team 13 (from the number on the robot).

Jason,
I don't think I could live without firstrobotics.net. I've been dreaming of the day when you'd update, and make things more comprehensive.

I have a large collection of pics taken from a variety of sources. Hopefully I'll be able to pass them along to you and get them up.

Thanks for this valuble service you provide the FIRST-nerd communitty. Some of us LOVE gawking at the old robots.

John

Hey,
I've gotten Joel to update my entire collection to our new 229 website.
Check it out for all your "retro-robot-gawking" needs.

Ohh, and check out the website too.
Joel is the man. :)

Enjoy,
JVN

PS - I'm always looking for more cool robots.

Awesome, an update! One thing though, I tried to request a picture change for my team but the e-mail didn't go through...is the address on the site the right one?

In 1994 the picture of T166 is actually for 1995. Merrimack didn't have a team until '95.

Do you have some sort of Wildstang obsession? I count ~4 full pages of Wildstang pics, some of which I don't recall us putting in our gallery. I'll need a photo of you so I can post it at the guard's desk to have him keep you out of our building. Should I warn Raul of a possible stalker? All in good fun John, I hope you like this year's creation as much as the others :)

btw, tell Joel it's a real nice website.

I almost forgot, thanks for continuing the gallery Jason. I always enjoy looking at other team's robots.

I know that you are not aware of it, but the pictures of 147 in 1995 & 1996 were of a robot made between E-Systems (Raytheon) and the Center For Advanced Technologies (312)....not neccessarily the same team....i believe it was called ESYS-CAT (I & II) in fact.....wonderful work w/ this site btw :)

I think jason is having problems with all of the team number things because of the way team numbers used to change every year, so he has to try and match up numbers from the past to the permanant numbers of today.

Thanks

Thanks to everyone who found errors on the page, and to anyone who can contribute. I'm glad to see people find the site useful. I hope to do some more updating this weekend, so stay tuned....

Great work, I too have a few pictures I can send you of our robots from team 237. Kudos to the webpage.

I have one question? Did you make that gallery from scratch or did you use some sort of gallery creator?? If so, can you tell me which one it is.

I am looking for a similar gallery setup for a side project (FIRST and non-FIRST related images), for a website I hope to be creating sometime soon!

If you wrote it yourself, mind if I "borrow" the code??? :D
I would be sure to give the credit for the code to you if you let me!!

Our team photos were put online by one of our EEs and his other(who happens to be MissInformation) using Image Walker. I belive that the first page, the gallery browsing, is created HTML, but all the gallerys were made with Image Walker.
