OI jog switch
I'm looking for a type of control (potentiometer 100k) that auto centers when you let go of it. The idea is to center it at and have it decrease/increase resistance as you turn it CCW/CW but auto center at a middle value (50k) thus providing the digital 127-ish value.
The idea is to use this with a motor to steadily increase speed in one direction or another as you rotate it further in a CCW/CW direction. Also to not provide power to motor when the switch is let go of (it stops). Any ideas on a manufacturer of this kind of switch? or a term to search on google.com like "jog switch"? Anything helpful? Anyone? (I'm desparate for help  ) |
Re: OI jog switch
Joysticks do it by using a simple potentiometer, and then springs attached in both directions. When you let go, the springs push it back to neutral.

Re: OI jog switch
Maybe this? http://www.precisionsales.com/rocker.html its a "rocker pot" that looks like a rocker switch, but its analog instead of digital. Is a custom job so you got to email the manufacturer eparts@ix.netcom.com
or this http://www.4qd.co.uk/accs/pots.html |
