Recalculate Gizmo Radius

Ok, I have a Spherical Atmosphere Gizmo that I'm using for an explosion. It will render fine in single mode because it recalculates the radius of the explosion (it slowly gets bigger) but if I try to do multiple frames, MAX just skips a test and it never gets above the 0 radius it begins with because that was what it was first calculated as. Anyone know of a way I can force it to recalculate without doing single frames for the 400+ that have the explosion somewhere in the animation?
