Fuse Panels

Hi,
I need an answer IMMEDIATELY

Please tell me if we can have a fuse panel hooked up to another fuse panel. Please don't guess because someone told us that we can't, but we are sure we can.

Tell me if u know

I guess you can't be serious about hooking them up in serial...

You can hook them up in parallel. Just wire the breaker into the fuse panel. Then from the fuse panel into the other one. You can do that...

2 separate feeds from the 60A looks OK

Why would you want the fuse panels daisy chained from each other instead of a multiple feed from the 60A breaker to each?

Which appears to be legal.

All the rules state 'fuse panels' which means multiple fuse panels

we meant is it ok to hook the fuse panels up in parallel?

It is legal to hook them up in parallel - which means that you can run separate wires from the battery to each panel.

Do not, however, wire two fuses in parallel! You could damage whatever you are trying to protect with the fuse, or even start a fire. Aside from that, it's against the rules.

We use two fuse panels.(Have for all years that there were two available.) We do not run seperate wires from the battery to each but #6 to the 12 way and another #6 to the 6 way.(+ and ground) Try and make your high current devices all on the 12 way or at least as many as possible to minimize the current in the longer run. Less current=less voltage drop on longer wire runs. Follow the color codes and other wiring conventions and make sure all the hardware is TIGHT.
Have fun and good luck.
