Duct Tape
Hello everyone. My team is wondering if we can use Duct Tape on our wheels? This would be placed over the treads, probably in a few layers.

Re: Duct Tape

Re: Duct Tape
unfortunately there is a rule agaist useing duct tape of all things. i dont know why but there is one... the only tape that we are allowed to use is electrical tape. once again i think that first should repeal this rule because duct tape would only help a great number of teams

Re: Duct Tape
Sorry if this throws this into a different direction, but what about VHB (Very High Bond) automotive type tape? Does that qualify as double sided? Does anyone want to confess to thinking about using it?

Duct tape and other tapes may be used as long as they are used as non-functional decoration. So you can use duct tape to give your robot that stylish "held together by duct tape and bailing wire" look, but actually using it to hold something together is not allowed. ChrisH |

So, teflon tape is indeed legal, as it is not an adhesive backed tape. |
