Team 1389's catcher robot
We started out with only one set of arms, then added the back set to cover the entire ball drop. Although it may look bad now, it was even worse before, with netting covering all 4 sides.
To see the back arms open, go here. From another angle. |

Hey guys you have the right idea simple but effective. You should do ever well if you keep up that.

Definitely. Nice use of materials. With the right drivetrain, you guys could go far this year.

I'm not sure, but it looks like I can see 3 pneumatic tires in the front, i could be wrong though, could be just the angle. Can anyone on the team ellaborate?

Re: Team 1389's catcher robot
Hey I remember u guys from the DC scrim. We were alliance partners. We were too fast and you guys had a broken axle or something. Yes much cleaner look now. The netting b4 did look awkward.

Re: Team 1389's catcher robot
that was my first idea for the robot to do this year but our team couldn't afford to do something like that at the time.....
but excellent idea (especially if you can get to their side of the feild) |
Re: Team 1389's catcher robot
We have a 1:20.25 gear ratio, and only 2 pneumatic wheels. Today, we painted it, and it looks a little better. I'll have the new pictures up soon.
