If you think of it as being an Asia head, it actually is alright. Great job on the models guys. :)

I have been working on the re-model of my UH-60L Blackhawk, and today I worked hard on my Vulcan side-mounted machine gun. It still needs a lot of work (hydralics, hydralic lines, wiring, ammo belt, etc.) but I would say that I spent about 2-3 hours working on this so far.....

I like it. :) Can't wait to see it when you finish it. :)

Mconte.. if that machine gun is just going to be put in the helicopter, there may not be any need for tons of detail. Unless you intend to have close ups of the gun, Just texture map all the details, it's easier and will save you time.

Re: 3D Model Showcase

i agree Thetadot..............all of those bolt heads..grooves etc.....really don't need to be modeled ......... it just makes it take forever to render

Re: 3D Model Showcase

I agree with what you guys are saying, but there are going to be some close up shots, plus I might try to sell it on TurboSquid when I get it finshed (you never know, i could make some money!). I don't really worry about render times either, I actually have a render farm set up here at home (only 3 computers, but still good) so times don't matter that much, that scene there took about 4 min to do on my computer, not on a farm......

NO!! Highly illegal. Your models are for educational and non-profit use. Of course they may never catch you, but that's your choice.

That sounds like you got one of those cracks that can be downloaded from some sites. How'd you manage to do that without knowing it? ;)

hmmmmm....why would i need to download a crack........I have the REAL actual licensed version registered it through the little program that comes w/ max 6, but for some reason there is no educational version notice at the beginning like on version 5. I haven't modified it added any plugs ne ways...btw selling stuff with the ed version is illegal but selling stuff with a cracked version is just as illegal too....so cracking it don't make a dif....!

btw i don't sell stuff on turbosquid
