Re: 3D Model Showcase

No, they are actually a free model from TurboSquid.com, it was like 50,000 polys, so I optimized it down to minimum details. I would love to make my own statues (and feel I can) but due to time restrictions I have to use some other stuff.....

Its nice man, keep it up. I like your lighting on it. Btw, i worked some more on my enzo, and tried a new method of lighting. Hope you guys like it ;)

I never really paid attention to this thread, but now since I am getting into animation stuff, I decided to take a look. I am just speechless at the work you guys have done. They are simply awesome. Keep the good work.

Re: 3D Model Showcase

Here are some things I finished for work the other day.

I'm decently happy with things, but not really since I didn't have control over furniture or lighting (the architect I work for decided what he wanted to look like, I just put it into 3D, I didn't have any input.)

There's also a bedroom, but I'm not at home right now and don't have it uploaded.

Those are very professionally done.. nice job.. you seem to know a great deal about lighting and how it functions..

Re: 3D Model Showcase

Sorry for the double post.. recently i've been learning to model a little more accuratly with just one object rather than many objects combined.. So here's my first REAL creation w/ modelling... This is a beta version of a MP5 that i'm creating for a game modification i'm working on ;)

Enjoy

Yeah, so here's the truck i modeled with Joe Donaldson when i was in highschool. I think we did it when we were Sophmores.

It's still a work in progress tho.

Also attached is the model of the field i did last year.

I have been modeling some roller coaster cars for fun lately. They are a B&M Floorless model. Only hardend coaster-freaks would know who they are :p

Very nice.. I love the chair's detail.. very well done..

I think you can raise the poly count on that mp5 if you're looking to import it into BFV or BF2. If you end up using that in BF2, shouldn't you wait and see if that gun is being included anyway? I was under the impression that it would have all modern weapons. *shrug*

Here's an M41 that i modeled from Aliens:

I was getting lazy towards the end and didn't put any work into the extendable stock.

nice work matt hallock... i esp. like the reflections... the lightings pretty good too... except the wood parts the ceiling rafters look a bit flat toned....not that i could do better just saying.....
PCole the mp5 looks good but only for a 3rd person model (not for the 1st person) it is not detailed enuff

Yay!! This thread came back up.

I want you all to look at this picture, and tell me if you think it is rendered, or a real picture? I found it on the internet.

Wheter or not it's fake, or real, it's still cool, don't you think?

Definitely rendered. But still very cool. I'd like to have a bed/sleeping area like that except I'd be afraid of 1. geting out of bed and falling into the water and 2. bacteria and such in the water. LOL
