Re: 3D Model Showcase

It is rendered; however looks real nice. The thing that gave it away was the water. Make that look real and it will be near impossible to tell.

For all you folks who like to recreate cars from blueprints, thought you may enjoy this.

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...p-8815/c-10101

of course, they don't allow you to see a larger image.. so you are stuck with a postage stamp sized blueprint to work from..

I guess they want you to buy it to get the actual dimensions..

This is a wonderful thread, I'm very impressed with some of the work here. I was wondering if I could get feedback on a head I modelled the other day:

The link to some pictures is www.djmelon.gotdns.com/jake/human

I'll be doing ears and more detail soon.

Some random particle effects I did....

1920x1200 renders, motion blur and glow done in Video Post. Render time about 5 minutes with 3 passes for the motion blur.

Very nice job!

I think I have my new desktop background. Reminds me of "The Making of Twister"

Thanks for the comments. I have now made two particle animations timed to music (30-45secs) that I'm trying to get hosted somewhere, they are about 2mb. Anyone know of any hosting services?
