Fevers make you delierious, espcially when looking @ robot pictures on CD and thinking they're yours
Building is FUN, when ur really into it
The back gate gets locked at 1030, alarms turned on at 11
Then janitors like us because we're nice, and stay away from thier stuff
The CNC machine has a constant high pitched noise when on
The old shop teacher ( a team mentor) is in the wood shop and has more stuffin the wood shop that the new shop teacher (he's gonna help next year, he's a little busy with getting his masters)
You can't have drive practice unless you have a functioning robot
Freshman are never to be left alone with 40+ red bouncy balls
Modern Theater makes robotics problems go away
Computer Tech Independent Study is a GREAT time to get robotics work done
:D

Cough Cough thanks Lisa. Oh and another thing I learned is that the janitors get mad when you set the alarms off in the building, and cops show up.

It is way easier to put something on the robot than to take it off.

I learned that...
-CNC is good
-You can make 7 tooth engagement sprockets
-You get what is given and you have to do your best.
--Good thing what was given is great!

I got to be a mentor this year and I loved it. Really, there is so much to learn, I still haven't stopped!

1. Castor wheels aren't as bad as our team once thought
2. Gearboxes are cool compared to chains
3. Really funny things happen at the shop after 1 am.
4. Each trip to the hardware store is like a trip to disneyland.
5. Rookies keep me young.....

Dam it drove me crazy trying to screw in hex heads through the wheel hub. I learned that being involved in FIRST lends to the creation of poetry about serpentine belts.

One thing I learnt in the preseason - posting interesting pictures of oneself or antagonizing someone into pasting your head on a famous person's body (coughbillgatescough) is just good fun on CD. If you got a laugh out of my picture, don't feel bad - it means you're normal.

How easy it is for one of your teammates to set the controller on fire :(

That teams pull together when things get rough.

I learned that you could scrap a whole mechanism two nights before ship, and still have it work like you did it 6 weeks ago. And also don’t let freshman use power tools.

One thing I learned this season is that no matter what, if a team sets it's differences aside, sits together and gives democracy a shot, you can accomplish a lot. You get great results that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

I learned not to conect both battery termanals, on the robot battery, with a peice of metal.....I mean....uh..I did no such thing. I just accedentally held a peice of metal which kinda touched both termanals, which sent sparks flying everywhere. lol, it was awesome
