We actually run an organized event. On the Sunday before ship we always invite all the Chicago area teams to our field for some organized practice. We also open up our field to other teams for informal practices throughout the season.

Wow! Beautiful! Only if 384 had that much room >_<

I hope you guys are going to have a off-season competition! We might just have to make a trip up to IL to meet up with our good buddies at 111, eh? ;)

Can I come play at your house?

I am officially green with envy.

Beautiful facilities.

Great playing field guys. One question; Your pipes are amazingly straight, how'd you do it? The pipes on our full sized playing field are wobbly, crooked and bent. After only a couple of days of human player practice the pipe was horribly out of shape.

Are you talking about the PVC pipes that make up the goal? I don't think we did anything particularly special with those pipes, but they are anchored near the top of the surface and also at the bottom of the platform (near the carpet).

Dave,

Those are the pipes I was refering to. We anchored them the same way you specified. We could not find a drill bit that matched the OD (.=1.9") of the PVC. Instead we used at 1.875" bit, and sanded down the bottom section of the pipe to ensure a flush fit. Combine this with the problem of not having our top and bottom holes exactly in line, it can be seen why our pipes aren't straight and tend to wobble. As for the bends in the pipe, this I'm a bit more concerned about. It did not take many human player shots to bend the PVC out of shape.
