I'm working on the site now, I might've hit something when you went for it that made it glitch. I just rechecked it and the link's working. http://www.combbat21.com/video/2004/ballrelease.mov If it doesn't work try again because I'm messing with a bunch of things, sorry about that. If it still doesn't work e-mail me (miketwalker@cfl.rr.com) and I can send it to you so you can see it before you leave. It should be working now though, it is for me. Hope this helps.

Maybe it's me but that video looks wierd. It looks backwards to me. The ball comes out of the robot slowly and then speeds up as it gets to the hole.

Might just be me.

I think its just you....for some reason I think that when the ball is getting released the ball uses that spinning wheel or roller to increase the speed, a similiar concept to our ball collector from 2002.

Looks great guys, love the crab drive.

Did you fix your problem where your balls were bridging and getting stuck?
Also what are you using for "wheels" in the front of your bot where the funnel is?

Looks like these type of bots will be one of the two ways I see winning the competition.

Great design!

It's hard to see in the video, but there are elastic cable push rods (technical term for "zip ties") which keep pushing and can give us more range to pull the balls in. That's the reason it continues to accelerate for a bit... I think they come out about 6-8"

I think this gives a good view of what Mike is talking about.

From what I can remember, we haven't experienced stuck balls to be a problem. If it becomes one, we can simply reverse our other roller, and the zip ties will slap the balls on that side to move the stuck balls out of the bridged position.

We have an additional crab module in the middle of the front of the robot, right past where the picture cuts off, identical to the two in the rear.
