Joe is right. I was at the scoring table when the judges were consulting the rule book. The ruling was made on the basis of the word DIRECTLY. The rule book is clearly written: A robot must be DIRECTLY supported by the bar. If robot A is hanging on top of robot B's mechanism, even though robot B is hanging on the bar, robot A would be INDIRECTLY supported by the bar, but not DIRECTLY supported by the bar. I hope this rule was and will continue to be applied consistently at all events.

To clarify a earlier post about the finals.

During Round 3 : 25 and 103 vs. 237 and 303 ; 1 seed vs. 8 seed. Team 237 was NOT disabled. At the start, team 25 ramed 237 for awhile. Then team 25 climbed the platform and rasied their arm. Team 237's robot climb up the first step partially, enough to hit 25 and make them tip and fall ( This was proboly becasue of the wieght distribution of the robot at the time ). The 2x ball did not play a factor in it and was pushed away when 103 hung. The link below shows 237 patially on the frist platform, 25 on the ground, and the 2x ball 10 feet away.
