This is Telescorpio, Team 118's bot for this year. The base is one of the greatest and most impressive features of this bot.

hahahahaha...yeah right. This years robots looks good though. Especially the four way steering. And the hanging from the floor looked pretty rough the begin with but I'm sure it is smooth by now.
Good luck at LSR. Our real robot pictures are a couple pictures before this pic. Can't wait to get done there, well at least my team can't wait. I don't get to go to Houston this year, but all try to stop by in Atlanta. EDIT: ooh wow. Watching computer webcast all day can make your eyes blurry. It looks like their 2001 bot but it is not. It is the new bot. Youded a bottom bar and another half tower from when I last saw you. Sorry about the bad sight. It looks good and like I said I like the drive. The manaueverability will help a ton in herd balls. |

acctaully, it still is a little rough pulling ourselfs up. Everything on the under side just gets banged up on the platform. We hope to have a little something to save our underside by the end of regionals.
And yes it does look a bit like condor from 2001. We had the same telescoping arm set up and a tail like this year. Only we had two telescoping arms back then and a big ball apdapter too. Now it's just one with a hook. |
Re: pic: Team 118 the Robonauts
It still looks really beneficial to be able to get up like that even if it jars your robot fairly good. Just make sure you zip tie everything down real good and take a go at it. I think going up the steps to be able to hang will be much more dangerous and harmful to your robot in the long run. Most robot up the steps will tip fairly easily.

Re: pic: Team 118 the Robonauts
Our sub frame goes down so low that there is no possible way for us to drive up the steps... but we can latch the bar from the base of the steps, so we just drag ourselves up and over the steps.
