Re: pic: Complicated Wiring
As a rookie team, I am afraid that you overlooked the rule saying that you can't use the robot as a conductor, rule r22. As a heads up, I would be prepared to change this on the thursday of the competition. I would hate for you to get inspected at the end of the day thursday and not be allowed to compete. All wiring must follow the power distribution diagram and the rulebook, and the ground wire you have hooked to the frame violates both of these.

Couldn't you use the ground stud?

I am more concerned that they have wires from the power distribution block going to an unidentified terminal block instead of the 40A Maxi fuse block that came with the kit. Again, this could be a quick fix: just replace the terminal block with a Maxi, cut the ring connectors off those wires, strip the wires back and connect them to the Maxi block. Overall it is a decent job wiring, especially considering the small amount of space on the board. |
