thanks for the clarification, i am going to try the 1.9" omnis for the edu bot.
I have a design on autodesk, but delphi forum wont accept the picture format, it uses 1" angle aluminum as sides in a square w/chamfered corners, a 1/4" lexan bottom plate, and the for edu motors for power. :cool:

Which motors did you use? I saw some Maxon gearhead motors at Acroname.com (they use them on the Garcia) that have encoders built in. I want to buy some for my own project, but if you have some first hand experience with them it would be helpful. They seem great for a 7.2V base built with the mini-rc except they're expensive.

we bought our motors from Herbach and Radmen (SP)dont buy them they are wimpy and we are going to change them out, we had to do alot of work just to get the thing to move. In the end we just deicded to not havve it move and just have all the wheels turn while up in the air, watching them rotate was helpful in the offseason we are going to replace them.
