personal mottos

I was just wondering if anyone had their own personal motto. Mine is "When logic fails, force prevails." So I was just wondering if anyone had their own personal motto??????

Re: personal mottos

"Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is a mystery; so all we have to live is the Present and it's just that...a present."

Basically...live each day as though it's your last because we all know we're going to die someday but none of us knows when so make sure everyday counts.

Although...when it comes to homework...why do what I can today if I can do it tomorrow because if I die, I doubt my teacher's going to ask "Well...did she atleast finish her homework before she died?" at my funeral

This was on one team's shirts, and I can't remember which team, but I love it:

"It's only temporary!....unless it works..."

Re: personal mottos

i live by this motto everyday
this must expalin the

8 speeding tickets
3 wreckless driving tickets
twice suspended licsense
and been detained in a cop car twice

"drive it like you stole it"

Brm789 18-03-2004 22:50

Re: personal mottos

Oh my...Um...I would not encourage students to live by that motto at all and neither should you. I would hate to see anyone's death because they followed that one and if your track record wasn't enough to scare them from it...mmm...I dunno what would.

Wear a seat belt atleast!

I have several that I've picked up along the way:

"YOU AIN'T CHEATIN', YOU AIN'T TRYIN'"

When all else fails, Manipulate the data.

If you don't like my driving, get off the sidewalk.

It is as bad as you think and they are out to get you.

Organized people are just to lazy to look for things.

a simple motto i made up some time ago, might be unkowningly stolen from somebody, but oh well... its basically just telling you to accept things and live life the way you want to. also technological superiority is a good thing....

some of my favorites:
"If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking." -Gen. Patton

"A good plan executed today is better than a perfect plan executed at some indefinite point in the future." -Gen. Patton

"You must do your Da#*est and win." -Gen. Patton

Ok, aside from quotes by General Patton, I would have to say the quote which has affected me the most is one that my robotics coach, Mrs. Hughes said. She said, "Attitude is a choice." That has stuck with me and has guided my life even outside of robotics.
