Who's Going to Drexel?!?!?!

Maybe it's a bit early, but I'd just like to see "who's going to Drexel." I know that this is posted on the FIRST website, but I thought that this could sort of be a discussion thread as well. I went to Drexel last year for the first time and I thought it was really cool. I'm looking forward to going again this year and hopefully our team can bring home some hardware and have a great time. Does anyone know who the MC's are?

I have no idea on the MC.
Drexel is a great comp with an amazing venue and stacked field of competitors.
The Drxel gym is located right in town around tons of plces to eat, and a 7 11 tht has...SOBE GUM!!!!!!!!1mmmmmmmmmm i lub sobe products (specially gum)
I hope it is as good as last year and Chesapeake this year.
See you at the Dragon.

[edit/] The team party is awesome. I think it is at the Franklin Institute of Science or something like that (I can't rememer the exact name)
It is a wicked good time though [/edit]

Yes, the team party is at the Franklin Institute again.

As far as I know, the MC will be Drexel's own Jim Moore (no Jeff Seaton this year, unfortunately).

And I will definitely be there, seeing as I am the president and founder of the Drexel FIRST Robotics club :]

And coming along with our good friends from Hauppauge, Team 810 from Smithtown will be there.

And hopefully our robot will actually work this time around, so instead of just being regional finalists, maybe we can be regional winners this week... :)

Is there any other Long Island teams attending this regional?

Re: Who's Going to Drexel?!?!?!

AS founder of the RMU in Philly, I will be there! I couldn't be involved as much as I wanted to be on 487, so you will see me with my crazy antics on field as a field technitian. This should be a good year for Drexel, one fo the "coziest" regionals there is. Chesapeake, eat your heart out.

Heads up: If you plan on bringing a mascot, bring 2 people to do the job. It gets VERY hot in the area, and we almost had three mascots collapse of heat exhaustion last year. Make sure to keep hydrated, folks!

I believe that on the Thursday after practice, all the teams gather at the Franklin Institute for food and partying, etc. I think I was too tired to really do anything except to eat and doze.

Yup, 5:30 to 8:30 on Friday, according to the agenda. Last year it was cheese steaks, the run of the Franklin Institute and iMax.
