Drag Races at Houston? Is this true
 

Is there any truth to the rumor that last year there was a Drag race after the nationals :confused: ? If there is is it going to be held again this year and if so how do i sign my team up.

i donr know about houston, but in Orlando, the drag races were held outside of the arena tents on the astroturf. supposedly all you needed to is just show up...we did...and pulled more than 2000 pounds across that turf...needless to say we won the torque comp. but we deffinatly lost the speed comp. i hope theres room for it...

I can see it now... all the guys in evening gowns and high heels doing a 50 yard dash... er... yeah... I think I'll go back to sleep now...

actually there was something better than drag races in houston last year....
i saw some robots having "tractor pulls". They had their robots pulling their tow carts and other micelanius junk.lol this went on before some div finals....

Last year after finals teams were outside between Reliant and the Astrodome racing thier robots, while pulling the robot cart and a driver with the controls tehtered up. I believe the winner was team 271, but not quite sure.

well, there were some segway reaces in The UTC at hartford, that was fun, i races with a cut out of Dean Kamen on a segway, i won.... :D
