Joel, I also have the same problems. I tried it in Internet Explorer, Opera, and Firefox. "blah blah blah cannot be found"

Re: Motorola Midwest Video Archive
Works good here. Thanks a ton to 108 for the video. It's great being able to go back and see all the things you could have done better.

Yep, as others have noted, Saturday's movies are posted. I only recall we missed digitizing match #38. Everything else should be up there. If not, post here or PM. Enjoy!!! KA-108  |

Not, sure. Try another url: http://www.soap.circuitrunners.com/ If not, let me know and I can post the IP. KA-108  |
Website bandwidth
Note, this morning we're up to 167GB of traffic in March. Now that all Midwest movies are posted, maybe we can hit 200?
Go tell everyone on your team about the availability of the movies! ;) KA-108:cool: |

It must be a CU thing. I could never get there either, I remember trying back when they put up the archived footage from previous years. *shrug* John |

Re: Motorola Midwest Video Archive
Wow..I actually found a website that works on AOL but not on IE. No idea why but it does. Thanks to 108 for your work on the videos.

Anyone know what happened to match 38?

Re: Motorola Midwest Video Archive
Has anyone noticed
John & Joel at Clarkson U. are having problems accessing the movies page Clark is having some problems at Purdue U. accessing the movies page Eric is having problems at U of Arizona accessing the movies page I can't access the page here at school, but I can at home... What do all of these people have in common? They are all trying to view the website at their college. I wonder if thats just a coincidence or whatever  Anyway, thanks for getting those matches up! :) D.J. |
Re: Motorola Midwest Video Archive
I had noticed that. Obviously, you guys all needed to choose a better college. RIT doesn't have any trouble ;)

Not a bad deal....$25,000 (probably more) a year to have a working soap108.com movies page? Sounds like a deal to me :p |

Re: Motorola Midwest Video Archive
For those of you having trouble, there is a somewhat simple fix you can do to make it work. At least, it worked for Joel. Just providing the IP address doesn't work, because the company hosting it relies on "Name based virtual hosting" which means more then one site is hosted on the same computer at the same ip address.
To get it to work, use the following instructions on where to find the "hosts" file and see the general format and such: http://networking.earthweb.com/netsy...cle.php/991281 and add the line Quote:

Re: Motorola Midwest Video Archive
If you're having problems resolving the domain, please flush your dns cache. There are some colleges that have their DNS servers set to ignore TTLs and therefore aren't updated as frequently as they should be.
The domain should be resolving fine for users on large ISPs. What Joe mentioned will fix this, but you can always access the site via http://66.98.242.80/soap.circuitrunners.com Thanks, -Randy |
Re: Motorola Midwest Video Archive
I just tried this and it did work for me too. It seems like it should work for everyone having problems. All you have to do is open the file, paste that line in, and save it.
