7am flight out of SFO on 4/14 (good thing we're 30 mins max from SF)

As to the "B" word, what about the "G" word? Yay for talking about our school in the airport. Knowing us, we're going to mention the name of our school many times just to see what'll happen. Ah... The joys of going to a school that's named after some guy who has the last name of a weapon. That's always fun.

And for things to do to team members when they're sleeping... During build, we usually duct tape them to wherever they're sleeping, i.e. floor, sofa. Or you can just put nail polish on their finger-/toe-nails when they're awake. If you do, make sure you have no nail polish remover with you. ;)

My husband, Adult Mentor with RAGE, is named Jack. He's always joking about that (outside of airports)...

That's nothing, one of our mentors Mr. Russell has two artificial arms. So on the trip to houston last year after one of the students complained about being searched Mr. Russell says," you think you have it bad i had to take off my arms." True story.

Is there anyone out there that has a fear of flying. Or do you have any ideas to calm a scared teammate?

When we fly from Michigan to Califorina I was scared when the plane took off but after awhile I was fine. Tell them to take something that will keep there mind of flying. Or think about something so they won't have to worry.

If your team mate is scared of flying because of the "height" thing, he/she should be aware that being in an airplanes is NOT like looking at the ground from the roof of a tall building, at least to most people. If he/she is afraid of a crash, they should be aware that flying with commercial airlines is much safer that driving.

disclaimer: I don't have much fear of flying, except when it so turbulent that the wings on the plane bend about 10 feet and look like they might break.

Btw: Leave the above part out when explaining how safe flying is
