Toronto: Pit Admin Support
Championship: Pit Admin Support
Capitol Clash: Pit Admin

2004:
NJ:Pit Admin
Pittsburgh: Inspection Support
Championship: Pit Admin Support

2003:

This is scarey! I didn't realize how long I've been doing this. It's still fun!

I started volunteering at a regional because there was a call for volunteers from the Regional Director and I wanted to support the efforts of the people who were already doing so much to make this a great experience for my kids.

The VIMS ( Volunteer Information and Matching System) system is not yet up. If you go to the FIRST website and follow the Volunteer button you can read up and send an email to be put on the VIMS mailing list.

As for volunteering for an event. There is the VITS system that they used the last few years. It has not gone without problems though, so be sure to speak with the event director long prior to the event and at least let them know that you have an interest in volunteering. You will eventually need to register with the VITS system anyways but at least there will be less confusion when it asks for to much information.
