'The Night the Lights went out in Georgia' by Vickie Lawrence

My turn:
I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder
Waiting for an invitation to arrive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive

Oingo Boingo "Dead Man's Party"

And since I think this will be a hard one, I'll give you a whole verse:

"Memories of things that never happened
these are always the hardest to forget
all the old friends and the loved ones
these are the people you haven't even met
looking forward into the old days
looking back at what there will be
there's no reality it's just an illusion
there's no real sanity just plain confusion"

Okay, it looks like that was too hard, it was "The Mirror Song" by Thomas Dolby (from the movie "Toys")

This one should be a little easier:

"Call you up in the middle of the night
Like a firefly without a light
You were there like a blowtorch burning
I was a key that could use a little turning"

Okay, the first one I know is from "Shall We Dance" and I don't know who it's by so I won't lie that I'm tempted to google the artist.

The 2nd one is Come with me by Phil Collins

2/3 isn't bad...

The slyest rimes, the sharpest suits, miracles made real"

OK, OK I'll answer it :) When Smokey sings by ABC. I did not look it up, I just haven't looked at this post for awhile

My turn again:
Heavy decibels are playing on my guitar
We got vibrations coming up from the floor
We're just listening to the rock that's giving too much noise
Are you deaf, you wanna hear some more

Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution by AC/DC

oh, and a p.s. to Freddy, my last one was Soul Assylum, but the song was called Runaway Train. Grave Dancer's Union was the CD name!

This one should be easy:

"Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees"

Arrows that cut me down
There’s something burning in me

Re: Name that Tune

Artist: Discipline
Song: Worth it all

've got a gun in my hand but that gun won't co.ck
my finger's on the trigger but that trigger seems locked
and i can't stop staring at the tick tock clock
and even if i could i would never give up
with a vest on my chest and a bullet in my lung
i can't believe i'm dying with my song unsung
so if and when i die won't you bury me alone?
because i'll never get to heaven if i'm singing this song
