Championship Event Scouting Database?
2 Attachment(s)
Howdy-
Now that we have qualified for the Championship Event we have a proposal for you all. At our two regionals this year (STL and Midwest), we have used a scouting program written by our team in Visual Basic, it is pretty simple, but it gets the job done. Scouting has been done during the matches and we had a computer in the pits to access/print all the information. The program is run off one folder on a wireless network for ease of writing files and everything. What we are wondering is if any other teams would be interested in helping us and using this program in Atlanta to assist everyone with scouting. The search database would be open to everyone assisting with the scouting of each division. It takes 2 computers per division to scout, one alliance per computer per match. Attached to this post is the program with its executables and the data from the Midwest Regional, use the Search program to search through it all, and the ScoreScouter to see the info entry format. Contact me with questions on it. If you are interested in helping we need computers with wireless cards or ethernet and to set up logistics before we go down to Atlanta. PM me. |
Re: Championship Event Scouting Database?
Team 27 is also looking for teams to share scouting information. We have a pretty good calculator system that gets info on everyteam, as well as get what every team does in auton, on a transparency. we would be willing to share information with other teams from other divisions, as i previously mentioned in a different forum.

Re: Championship Event Scouting Database?
OK, now that divisions are out we would like to know which teams NOT in Archimedes are planning on using computer/network based scouting databases and if you would be willing to share if we share ours. They will come in handy for teams with limited man-power when advancing up through the finals and if they advance to the national finals level. Thanks. PM or IM or email me.

Re: Championship Event Scouting Database?
My team (492) has just compleated it's work on an HTML-based scouting system, which was designed by me and our team's lead programer. It should be accessed by any computer with a "b" wireless card. We neeed A team from each division (besides gallileo) to assist us with this scouting. Their will be an accessable site for those who participate, showing: the rankings, persentage of balles scored by human players, persentage of times hung, how many times it has fallen over, the relitive speed/manuveability of the robot, the usefullness of it's manipulater (ARM), etc.
Although our team is not selecting teams to participate in this program yet, we are making note of which teams are interested in participating, and we will take teams on a First-come, first-serve basis. We may even release our finished reports during team selection. |

Re: Championship Event Scouting Database?
Team 836 has information on just about every team from VCU and Chesapeake. The only problem is they are all hand writtted and in our binders. But if anyone would like info on teams that went to these events we would certainly help you out. And if you would like to know anything about our robot just ask.
