River Rage - WIP

Hi All,

Not to make a useless post but some people have been asking about River Rage. To my knowledge there will be a River Rage 8, however I have not exactly been in the loop so take it with a grain of salt. There is also a rumor that the venue may change to a bigger better location with more parking, details to come ;-) Hopefully that will wet your whistle I, or someone else from the committee, will post as soon as there is more information.

Justin

Heh. Scott wasnt around during the days where I forced everyone to be at the high school at 3am...
Those were some of my favorite memories of the team: purposely scheduling everyone to be there a half hour before they actually had to leave because I knew everyone would be exhausted and running late, making a "Dew Slurpee run" for everyone in the car, making "travel kits" of directions, schedules, etc. for each car in the caravan (usually of around 6 cars), passing eachother on the highway, giving directions through the 2-way radios ("Okay everyone, turn left...now."), ALWAYS either losing a car in the rotary or having a car break down, Elgin's various speeding tickets, and then finally getting there....the ride there was always just as fun as the competition itself.

I never once got a speeding ticket during an FRC competition (knock on wood), my first speeding ticket was after a FLL tournament.

Is this date still correct? I know that it is direct conflict with the Bash @ The Beach mini-comp in CT. I heard that the crew holding Fall Fury was trying to possibly move the date??
Any news on that?

Fall Fury is still working on securing a new date. We will not compete on the same day as Bash. We may have to reschedule to early November, will there be enough interest?
