i cant wait i have been waiting for this for over an year because we won the so cal regional last year and we didnt go but we are this year so i cant wait because its going to be MY first time to Nationals

My whole life has lead up to this point i am a pathetic soul just looking to compete in this competeiton and if it does not come soon i might just exploade so to answer the question yes i am ready for atlanta i am not ready for the waiting envolved in the trip like waiting for the day i board the plane then waiting to board the plane then waiting to arrive in Ga then waiting to get off the plane then waiting to get the shuttle to the hotel then waiting to get to the hotel and then that long long night before the comp. starts on thursday morning oh its gonna be tough .... im ready now ... and such

It's quite humorous actually, I've started couting down how many days until my flight. I'm unbelievably excited and I'm looking forward to seeing all my CD friends that have been distant all year. Oh yeah, and the competition too ;) Good luck to everyone! Come look for me around 25's pit or 25's stands.

Hey everyone... im soo hyped for this years competetion in alanta. i cant wait to see everyone and everyones robot.... Last yr was a great competetion except for the haul that it took your team to get the robot into the other arena, hopefully, this year is just in one arena like i hear...

I have hade the good fortune to have been able to go to Nationals for the past 3 years and I will be going again this year. I think that it will be interesting to see how Atlanta compares to Houston and Disney.

Last year i was excited, but since this is the second and not to be last championship it isn't as exciting. Don't get me wrong i am excited just not as much as the new guys on the team. Sure they have been to two regionals but nothing compares to this.

It's nationals, who wouldn't be? Today I lost my robo vibe though, all the energy and hype I had going drained out of me due to mechanical frustration at something unrelated...but it will be awesome. Regardless of it being my first nat'ls...

Oh yeah, only 7 days, 4 hours 51 minutes and 35 seconds til I start the 5 hour drive. No I am not eager to get there of course not, why would I be counting down? 7 days, 4 hours 51 minutes 5 seconds

UGHHHH!!!!!! not counting today I still got four more days of school and countless tests and assignments to be done. I have noe clue I will get any of it done having been watch UCONN kick some arse in the NCAA playoffs. ANYWHO.... My whole year has lead up to this point in time as I have nothing better to do then be a FIRST geek (GO ME!) I can not wait for this competition now they we got our division (GO ARHCHIE) I got loads of scouting and planning and day dreaming to do (not too mention my FANTASY FIRST pick ...76th) So much to do in so short a time yet so long a wait!!!!!!! Wednesday is going to drag on forever before we finally had to BRadley but from there it will al pass in a blink of an eye ;)


P.S. I packed my bag for Nationals the day after UTC.

YAY!!! We are so pumped for Atlanta! We fly out Thursday morning (We get to be at the school for 3:00 in the morning) LOL then Thursday night we get to tour the World of Coke. Then on Friday we are touring CNN (hopefully)! Then we might go shopping in an underground mall. We are Canadian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Were leaving Tuesday morning and Wensday were also going to the Coke Factory and we may go to Stone Mountain depening on the weather. Then Thrusday were supposed to go to the Underground Mall too.

I can't wait. Last year was our team's first year and we had a lot of fun at the AZ Regional. This year we're taking the giant leap from our hometown regional to Championships is Atlanta. It's really unexepted- I had to drive our coach's van from the regional to his house 16 miles away during the awards ceremony to grab the shipping forms- because we didn't think we'd ever need them ;p. It's going to be so exciting going from a 36 team competition to a 280 team+ event, and more exciting to see my team's reaction to it all. Going from team member to mentor is so much fun :)

Don't we still practice rounds in Atlanta. You're going to be at school until 3:00 on Thursday? Man oh man, Thursday is going to be non stop work on our robot day...

LOL We are flying out at 3:00 in the morning.............and when we get there it's work on the robot non stop.............then go to the world of coke.........then SLEEP!!! :)

Why can you fly out the day before. You're going to be really tired on the first day of the competiton. How many hours is your flight?

Well Thursday is only practice rounds and yes we will be extremely tired. We could have flown out the day before but GM didn't want us to miss to much school. :mad: Oh well.Our flight is only 2.5 hours.

We'll be taking the red eye wed 4/14 leaving 10:35p to arrive 5:30a thu, getting luggage and a van, one van delivers luggage to the omni, while the rest of us get breakfast at airport, take the Metra to the competition.

At least those who us who are on Eastern Time Zone won't have to go through any changes. Like we did when we went to Califorina. I'm still tired from that trip.

really? ;) the california guys from 22 didnt seem to mind that much when they came here, and think about how you gained 3 hours of sleep ;)

i am looking forward to my first nationals competition in 2 years on the team, which isnt too shabby i must say, and going from a driver perspective is even better =D. Team 188 leaves with Team 1088 (LOL) at 6pm from WCI on tuesday night, arriving 1pm wednesday afternoon. busing all the way baby.

i can catch up on my inherit the wind/crucible/man for all seasons essay meanwhile.

I know when I was in California, going to Nationals in Florida sapped a whole lot from me. You end up hardly sleeping the first night becasue you stay up until your normal bedtime, but have to get up much earlier then you are used to. Then, by the end of the competition, you are mostly adjusted to EST and have to adjust back to west coast time.

Going to Florida 2 years ago from New York was much easier, with no time change. Houston was even better, because I could wake up at 6am, but feel like I was waking up at 7, my normal time. That hour didn't make much difference at night, either.
