Yeah let's try to get that cooridinated for the skip/clap. Our normal "exercise guru" won't be there but we'll find a replacement. Maybe we should try to get the entire stadium to follow?

You guys should also try what we down here in FL like to call The Jig. We'll show it to you when we get there, but basically all you have to do is hop twice on one foot then twice on the other and keep switching back and forth untill your legs collapse. :D

Re: Curie Teams

We are in Curie. Unfortunately for us, our Chesapeake champion partners (16 and 1405) are in other divisions. Oh well. I thought I through in an underdog into the mix of possible champion teams.

1319 - The Golden Strip Flash. They've done very well at the two regionals they went to (Chesapeake and Palmetto). They do better every time and I wouldn't be surprised if they go all the way to the final four.

Also, don't forget about us, 449. We won the Chesapeake regional, our autonomous mode is fixed (it didn't work at the regional), and our chin-up, in my opinion, is one of the most accurate out there. But enough modesty...

Good luck to all.

With that off of my chest, let me add that MORT (#11) is planning on bringing down anywhere between 50-75 sutdents + approx. 10 mentors and 15 parents. After our first championship ever at Palmetto (thanks to team 122, and 281) we are looking forward to this National Event more than any other in our history.

One week seems like so far away, but blink and it'll will be upon us. We'll see you all at Nats!!!

ok you definitely cant say that....anything can happen...and we are bringing down like around 30 kids if that...and some parents and mentors....and dont be so arrogant....we did do good and we did win palmetto....but there are better robots than ours...we may have a strong drive train but thats not everything....it depends on who we are allianced with and who we are against....george you cant go around saying we are gonna win

Ok, at first when talking to our coach he gave me the original number so, I apologize for that mixup. And as for my comment about the power we posess, I wasn't talking about our team specifically, I was refering to the division. Teams 47, 61, 103, 233, 449, and 1319 just to name a few, with these powerhouses in our division I'm sure that Curie is taking the Nationals this year. Sorry if I sounded arrogant at first, it wasn't my intention.

who said your sounding arrogant you just have a positve attitude saying that we are the strongest division. i would love to see my team win but it would be good if some one in our division won!

I think that under any circumstances, we can definitly yell the loudest and be the most spirited and happy division in the whole thing no matter where we stand at the championship finals. I wish everyone the best of luck, and would like to invite all of you to join me in wearing 'Free Hug' signs. The more the merrier!

Team 57 chose and led alliance #2 to victory at the Lone Star Regionals. We have a robot that hangs from the side...we hung every time except for once at Lone Stars. We have the ability to bring down other hanging robots, as long as they are near us on the bar.

For those who were at the Great Lakes Regional...we had a handicapped robot because a gear in our tranny kept stripping and we were stuck in low gear. Luckily, this was fixed in time for the Lone Star Regional.

I look forward to meeting all you guys and gals, as well as the l33t machines that we have managed to come up with. Good luck to all.

Yes we were with 16 in St. louis and yes they will be missed, however there are some REALLY good teams in Curie so I'm not sad. Who else will be driving the bots and what year is this for you driving?
(I drive our bot and it's my third and final year driving. :-(

Re: Curie Teams

Curie is certainly going to be a lot of fun again this year. Last year, 343 (with 25) emerged from Curie and came within a whisker of winning it all. The division finals in Curie last year were some of the toughest matches I've ever seen. We were partnered with 87 (Curie again also) and 650 against the 343 alliance. By the time the dust settled, 25 was using a pry bar to get "unbent" and we needed a rather large hammer and a significant amount of force to reset an arm. Those were fun times, but looking at the 2004 list it should be every bit as exciting.

11, 22, 34, 47, 61, 66, 87, 175, 233, 343 ... the list goes on and on....
15 Regional Winners, four #1 seeds, 32 top-ten finishers, four hall of fame teams...

See you all very soon.

Re: Curie Teams

Ok after doing some research by both sitting with and participating with this is what i got thus far

CHIEFDELPHI - THE ORANGEST / BLACKEST TEAM EVER HERD AND SEEN - Anyone who tries to challenge CD's Team Spirit will fail. They are the most Team Spirited Team out there. You would have better chances in being one with CD then to be against them :-) I know this from the 2001 NYC Regional Experience. If I had to let MOE and CD do a Spirit Contest CD would win the Cheers part and MOE would only walk away with the Noise Makers part. :) However as years go by MOE will eventually beat CD in a undeclared Spirit Contest:p

SWAMP THING - THE GREENEST TEAM EVER SEEN
MOE - THE GREENEST / BLACKEST TEAM EVER HERD AND SEEN
PINK TEAM - THE PINKEST AND COOLEST TEAM EVER SEEN (THEIR PINK COLOR HAS THE ABILITY TO GIVE THE ROOM LIGHT)
ROBOWIZARDS - PURPLEST / SILVEREST TEAM TO BE SEEN
