QUESTIONS OF THE WEEK!!! [02-24-02]

Hi all. 6 weeks is finally over, and you can finally relax a bit before competition. This should be the first weekend this year you can actually relax without too much stress... With that in mind, here is the question of the week...

Questions 02/24/02: How did you spend your first weekend without FIRST?

Well, I will start with what I did... I left home about 11am, and went back home around 11pm... and all I did was sat inside a movie threater and watched three movies... No AIM chat with any FIRSTers, or posting on forums... It was a good day... ;)

First FIRST-free weekend

Sleeping for twelve hours on both Saturday and Sunday, doing homework (Who has time for that during the building phase?) and jogging (finally again).
Somehow I am missing the building phase, it is as if something is missing - just that it definetely is not time.

I have been looking at everything on this forum and I accually just got back from a meeting for FIRST Robotics. It does not seem like the meetings will stop untill much later. Not that I am complaning.

Slept like a baby and did a few projects that had been backing up. Even saw a movie! Who would've thunk it??

~Tom Fairchild~, who missed sleep more than anything.

Lets see...i worked and i slept....

i think i was going into a state of no FIRST depression....

i drank coffee on saturday morning and then i drank herbal tea saturday night (I hate coffee and tea, but i couldnt stop drinking it)...i think im going nuts...

Christina 25-02-2002 17:34

Hmm....lets think...what did I do? I worked...cleaned my house and my mom came home (she's been away for 6 months). I slept some and on sunday I worked and my sisters came over to welcome her home. I was supposed to watch a movie with Michael sometime in there...perhaps on Tuesday, since I *won't* be at robotics. :) But, I did catch on a lil bit of much needed sleep. Oh, and studying for midterms. Whoopee.

A little different

Well, I tried to find a job. Then I slept. Then I applied for a job. Then I slept.

In the up side, I got the job. Now I can move out of Dad's house! Yay!

Then I searched for apartments. Then I slept. You get the idea.

Laterz.

At first I relaxed... Watched movies, went to a concert, went bowling, DDR for long hours saturday night. Then Sunday I paid for it and had to do insane amounts of schoolwork.

Overall a relaxing weekend. No clue why I am up at 1:30 am on Tuesday morning reading chief delphi when I should be sleeping OR studying for an exam I have tomorrow... hmm...

I fell asleep and actually didn't have to wake up. I then spent time with the few pleasures that weren't FIRST-related. Finding funny quotes, writing, and wasting time on the Internet. Ah the simple joys of life.

i slept in as late as my parents would let me, but i took numerous naps throughout the day :) i spent time IMing, and reading, caught up on some homework, and even found time to do a little thrift store shopping :)

OMGplayingDDR weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

w00t! More DDR freaks!!!

Ken & I both learned the magic of DDR at Kate Leach's house during Kickoff.

And now? We both have our own DDR sets (and I had to buy a PS1 on top of the set to do so). Actually, I would be playing right now, but I twisted my right ankle a little during "Dynamite Rave" (my roomate was talking to me, and I wasnt concentrating). So what do I do? I go read Delphi while it heals. Im such a nut ;)

If you ask nicely, I have pictures of Ken & Robbie playing DDR (Ken for the first time) at Kickoff.

If you ask EXTRA nicely, I'll bring my set to Nationals.

PS - I didnt participate in building (wicked weird), so its not like I was doing anything different. I go to Babson, all I do is homework (and a bit of DDR ;) )

Okay, can someone fill me in as to what DDR is? I'm confused.

DDR is only the greatest dance-video game ever created on the face of this earth!!!!

Ya, DDR!!!
