Re: NEVER Goto taco bell again!!
Actually, the average Taco Bell is cleaner than most other restaurants, according to Dateline...
I don't worry too much about it - I haven't gotten sick yet, and I'll only need to worry once I do. |
Re: NEVER Goto taco bell again!!
My friend works at Taco Bell!
Wait...she was telling me about the restaurant's pet rat, Nibbles... /me shivers Good thing I don't like much Mexican, eh? |
Re: NEVER Goto taco bell again!!
Wow, why don't we just avoid all fast food joints? Like there's something wrong with every single one of them.

Yeah, sounds like people are just more than happy to do whatever it takes to: A: Become known somehow B: Get free products - like the hay in the coke cans C: Sue a large company on an potentially unprovable issue The stupidity of the human race as a whole never ceases to amaze me! |

"Unfortunately, not enough people paid heed, as evidenced by the following incident reported to me by a reader in January: I have a coworker who states that his wife (who is a nurse) witnessed a situation involving someone who licked an envelope and then "hatched" a cockroach from her tongue. Supposedly while licking an egg-infested glue strip on an envelope, she got a paper cut. This then got "infected" but when she went to the hospital to have it examined, the doctor made an incision to release the pus and a roach crawled out. "True story? Don't bet on it. The two accounts you've just read, the first set in Virginia and the second in California, arrived in my inbox five days apart. They are variants of the same urban legend. "There are plenty of reasons to disbelieve. For one, cockroaches don't lay eggs in the manner implied by the story. A pregnant roach carries her eggs in a hard capsule called an ootheca, in which they incubate intact until they're ready to hatch. Outside the ootheca the eggs can't survive at all, let alone flourish within a human body. You wouldn't find cockroach eggs strewn about or deposited on envelopes." ;) |
Re: NEVER Goto taco bell again!!
Urban Legands are ment to scare people (usually uninformed people) into beliving an event occured that made a certain product or action unsafe. They are written in such a way that they make people want to belive them, not nessisarily in a logistical, and unbiased manner. These stories are false, now go back to Toco Bell and think about next year's competition.
