639's robot and name the car

http://www.startateam.com/639/pics/2002_639.jpg

This is actually the best picture we have of our robot, taken by me blindly out the back of a car rushing to make our shipping.

heres your little challenge, the reward is my respect:

1) Just try and guess what we do :) it's not really that hard, but funny to think about at first since you really cant see very much.

2) Name the car this was taken in, if anyone gets this I think i'll die laughing since you can see only the backwindow and part of a seat. Bonus points for the make/model of the cars behind us, the route number we were on, and how late we were running.

Just thought that my team needed a presence here, and with lack of a better picture decided to see if anyone reconized the car.

Oh if your stumped you can take a look at this picture for help:

If you feel like cheating you can take a look at our robot in various stages of construction at http://www.startateam.com/639
but that just takes the fun out of it.

This has been my first thread started!

The robot is a double goal grabber. The car you are in is a Chrysler Sebring convertible. The car behind you is an older Honda Accord and behind that is a Dodge Neon. You are about 10min late.

Yes its a duouble goal grabber, what else can we do?
No its not a Chrysler
No the car behind us isn't a Honda Accord (wrong side of the world)
I really don't know what the car behind that one is... interesting :)
We were more then 10 mins late.

nova?

(i'm not a stalker)

Brian Savitt 25-02-2002 21:51

Judging from the way the Cylinders are pointing you have air brakes. that either puts your frame on the ground or some sticky stuff.
The car you are in a Chevy Nova?

Brian
EDIT: If only I had hit the submit button faster.:EDIT

GregT 25-02-2002 21:57

No, ITS NOT A NOVA!!! :)

Air brakes? Why would we want to stop when we dont have to?

And i still want to know how you knew what route that was,

Greg

That looks like Cayuga Lake off in the distance.

Ryan Curry 25-02-2002 23:11

gueses

Your Car : Chevy Camaro Mid-Late 90's

Car Behind You : Early-Mid 80's Mercedes

Car Behind That : Late 90's Ford Lumina

Random guess

I have no idea about cars, but maybe the white car behind you is an old BMW. Just a guess though.
Have fun with your 'bot and good luck at the competitions!

Deej 26-02-2002 00:45

Common now folks

Okay...white car changing lanes...definately an Audi...my guess is an A4, and while i'd like to think that a robot would not fit into the backseat of a camaro, i have no choice to believe that it is...judging solely by the front seats, the rear break light on the hatch, and the hatch itself..my guess would be mid 80's camaro...z28...and the car behind...probably a mid-late 80's nissan

I'm on the same team as you Greg and these guys have already figured out more about that pic than I could explain.

I'm impressed.

The car behind you is definitely an older ('82? '83?) BMW

GregT 26-02-2002 12:38

haha you guys are good, it is a camaro- not sure the exact date, and no this robot could not fit in the back seat (i cant fit in the back seat) its on top of the backseat (it folds down).

Yeah, its cayuga in the background.

Im still waiting to hear what the car behind us is, that was another team member trying to keep up.

Greg
