I had so much fun at Ramp Riot it was unbelievable. I couldn't get over how well the event was run from all angles. Ramp Riot from start to finish was cool, awesome and it was like attending a regional competition. To Miss Daisy (Team 341) and others who made Ramp Riot possible you did a wonderful job. The radio station that was there Y-100 was spectacular. To all the teams that attended, great job. It was worth the trip even though it took RAGE 6 plus hours to get down there because traffic and weather wasn't pretty. I can't wait to see the wonderful teams that was at this event in the Chesapeake Regional. Oh by the way we got home in 4 hours!

I would also like to congratulate Miss Daisy on hosting an awesome mini comp. While I went 6 hours both ways and my team wasn't there, I had an AWESOME time doing field reset, ref, and anything else. Congratulations to 484, 25, and 87. Awesome job to one and all.

Oh yeah! I forgot about our i-Pod Raffle winner!

It was Mr. Sheffield, a coach for Team 487, Springfield HS!

Congratulations!

Who drove Scott?? I did!! lol
Snow, cold, stupid speed control stop signs :p
(Quote from the back seat: I think we got some air off that one. :ahh: )

All in all, I had a great time.
I would like to thank Al, and the crew at Ramp Riot for holding what I think is the last competition in the area till after kickoff.

And remember, don't forget that hint of next year's game we were told about.
The hint that is going to be given to us at kickoff. :p

I know I'll be watching kickoff anxiously waiting for that hint about next years game.

That hint was arguably better than any of Dave's hints. ;)

Re: 5th Annual Ramp Riot (Official Thread)

Ramp Riot Riot V.. what can I say? I've seen them all-

R.R. I- 7 teams. No audience at all. I don't think there was even a DJ- at the time there were almost NO offseason competitions at all
R.R. II- 16 teams?
R.R. III- 24
R.R. IV- 25
R.R. V- 26 (we're trying to get O to let us use the 2nd gym next year- think 2 divisions :P)

Overall, there were more people on saturday than I could've imagined, all of the stands were packed, about a hundred people decided to bust some moves during the afternoon, and we all just had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came and contributed, we couldn't pull this off without yall..

Is there any chance of getting the opening video? I woke up four hours late (after having only 4 hours of sleep the previous 72 hours) and missed it.

Re: 5th Annual Ramp Riot (Official Thread)

It is taking me some time to recover from the event and I only have a second to write. But I just wanted to congratulate not only the award winners from Ramp Riot, but all of the teams that participated.

One of our major goals for Ramp Riot each year is to make it "feel" like a regional for the benefit of the Rookies.

That can't happen unless you have 26 teams show up ready to play hard, with spirit, all day long!

We have a core group of Ramp Riot teams that will go anywhere and play anytime. You are what I always call "GAMERS". It is this group of "GAMERS" which makes Ramp Riot the place to be each November.

So thank you to all of the Ramp Riot teams!! Whether you won or lost on Saturday you surely inspired a lot of Rookies, including those on 341.

Best of luck during the upcoming season.

Al Ostrow
