Re: FIRST money
Interesting idea of writing team numbers on bills. I've gotten a lot with the "Where's George" stamped on them. The only thing I'm not sure of is how would you know for instance that "237" written on the bill is in reference to the FIRST team and not "237" meaning something else without some other reference to FIRST on the bill?

another thought... if we get enough people to start doing this, not only would it be cool to see several team #s on one bill, but it may spark interest and media coverage for FIRST. i can just imagine the article in the New York Times... "Been noticing numbers on your money with a triangle, circle, and square logo above them? This is the signature of people involved in a robotics competition known as FIRST. FIRST is..." and it can go on and on from there if everybody in FIRST started doing this, the competition would be known by most of the population within a few years  |
Re: FIRST money
<edit> OK... so afflictionblade beat me to the punch... but here is my elaboration on his concept! </>
Where's George is a whole lot of fun! Why don't we change this into "Where's FIRST" everybody draws the Triangle-Circle-Square on bills (double points if you do it in color!). Then, since we have enough techie brain's here... create a subset of delphi to be something like chiefdelphi.com/wheresfirst/ and we can start the great big FIRST bill collection! |
Re: FIRST money
It is now quite obvious to me that it is the intention of certain members of this Forum are now seeking to destablize the American economy by printing fake money and instituting a shadow currency. This is obviously a NWO conspiracy instigated by the trilateral commission and the Satanic Illuminati.
I shall report you promptly to the American treasury department and Secret Service (if there aren't in on the conspiracy...) |

And I should also point out that the US Government allows other currencies to be created, as long as there are taxes paid on it and yadda yadda yadda. (Don't know which law it is, though.) Whether that fits your shadow currency thing is unknown, but it could be done legally. I'd go further, but I have to get ready for work. ...just one other thing...what trilateral commission? I mean, the only trilateral anything I know about are the three branches of government (judicial, legislative, and executive) and the triangle in the FIRST logo. Take your pick. |

-_- Well, back on topic now..

Re: FIRST money
I think it's a great Idea, I just hope my hand dosen't cramp from writing 492 on every bill I own.

Re: FIRST money
I'm all for this. In fact, I would start writing on my bills right now, except they're still wet from when I was thrown into a pool yesterday(with cell phone in pocket :ahh: ). One question...would this just be on ones, or would it be for all forms of paper currency? Also, who is going to host the where's george section of Chief Delphi? I'm not experience with php/mysql, so I know that I can't do it...

I wanted to keep FIRST, as an orginization, out of it since they're not doing it. As long as everyone does it in the same place (upper left corner on the face) then we should be able to know what it signifies. |
Re: FIRST money
How about simply putting something like T25, or T1089, etc, just a T before your team number...would that make sense?

And if SS and Treasurey Department are conspiring with a few high schoolers to write 3 or 4 digits on a peice of paper, then US currency is being spent on the wrong things anyways. Quote:

The vagueness in your response has led me to make an educated guess based on your previous posts on these forums (lots of neo-fascist propaganda, and claiming that Bill O’Reilly is a populist) that this was some sort of lame dig at my liberal tendencies? If so, please try a little harder or be more creative next time, because it wasn’t a very effective one. So yeah... Are you serious or just screwing around? </tangent> |
