recruiting new members
 
our school is having so much trouble recruiting new members. it's an all girls school, so i guess robotics isn't exactly there thing as mock trial. so any suggestions b/c we really need to recruit more ppl.

What we do is make a film of what we did the previous year and show them to new students, showing what the team is about, hoping to hook a good amount to replenish the team.

I'm pretty sure that there is at least one thread on this, you can search for it if you like.

One thing that defenitley works for our team is to really try to recruit on a personal basis. Talk to people. This way, you can really customize your "pitch" to what would be effective for a particular person. A video may be good, but its better when you can talk to someone in person.

This thread for sure will give you some information. I can see that you're new to the forums, but one of the big things that's stressed (and I know well because I've been yelled at for it many times) is searching for similar threads. Make sure to try this approach before making a new thread and it'll help to keep the "CD community" on your good side. :D
