http://www.ats.ucla.edu/videos/edu231e_1_ref.mov in a browser, then it just links you to a streaming movie file. What this saves as, is just a shortcut to the actual video hidden on the UCLA server somewhere. Even if you right click, and save that link, then.. you still have to connect to watch the movie. Thus the fact (which I have determined) that streaming media really sux. Even a little program I wrote doesn't work to grab it. :( To DL the movie, you will have to gain exclusive access to the UCLA server that the movie is hosted on from what I can tell. But then again.. I'm not sure about QT files. Maye someone else can help you better. |

Re: How do I save a quicktime .mov file?
Hi,
I have the same problem but of a different type. The Quicktime movie opens up inside a Javascript window. I am trying to copy the movie but that option is disabled when I right click on the movie. How do I save the movie. Please suggest. Thanx Ciao |

The simplest way to save a qucktime file is to click on the triangle button on the bottom right of the control bar. Then click save as quicktime movie. The feature only works on the quicktime full version.
