Dramatic weather changes...
 
Check this out. This article actually describes the science behind the movie The Day After Tomorrow. Aparently its only slightly exagerated. The process can happen in a matter of ten years and would oddly enough turn New York City into another Siberia.

I read that. sort of humorous (and scary)...
seriousely, there's so much we don't know (like how robust our planet is). but the way it's presented there seems ok to me. (the conveyer)

Its not really a matter of how robust the planet is. We are overdue for another iceage. Aparently global warming threw the whole process out of whack for a while.

It was an example. But could be that comets burning in the atmosphere keep our planet warm!

You know, it is funny what Astronouth said, but it is completely true. I mean, if you think about it, there is so much we <b>do</b> know, but in contrast to that, there is an infinite amount that we <b>don't </b> know.
