hopefully I will never see $11.10 per gallon, but $1.110 would be very welcome.

There are roughly 3.79 liters/gallon, thus at $1.01 CDN /liter, meaning $3.83 CDN / gallon which roughly on a good day would convert to $2.82 US / gallon, i would say they have it rougher still...

I hope gas doesn't hit $3.60 a gallon... Then it would be time to go buy a small oil producing country in the middle east. (well... it would probably even more expensive... but oh well)

I had to pay a Clarkson University rate two days ago (no joke!). I could have choked when I saw the prices.

The stations around here are often selling at $2.17, $2.29, or $2.34. I've seen two of them together, but never all 3 at once..

Okay! Here goes that "old guy" stuff. As a senior in high school in 1966 I remember paying as little as 28 cents a gallon. That was the main reason we had all those "screaming monster" V8's running around town. I do not recall gas going over one dollar a gallon until the early 70's.

According to the inflation calcuator:

What cost $.28 in 1966 would cost $1.54 in 2002.

I don't know how accurate that is really, but it's kind of interesting...

The wierd thing about gasoline is it never has followed the trends of inflation in the usa but has increased in price over time...
