Few things I learnt:
Mentor + stroke = team in chaos; Students + wrong information = dangerous situation; Students + Stubborn = bad impression on mentors; Good friends + Competitions = FUN; I learnt more than what words can express just being around FIRST, team 25, and especially other teams. I feel blessed. Thank you all:) |

Re: What I Learned In FIRST This Year...
as useful as duct tape is, there are some alternatives.. yeat some applications truely NEED duct tape.
pneumatic tires sometimes bounce in the way you want them to, and sometimes dont... and become a painful memory to some innocent builders. always have your main breaker switch in an easily accessible location on the robot during testing.. especially when testing an autonomous program that a blind programmer made.. sometimes things dont work out as planned and one of us has to run around in circles around a 130 lbs robot spinning at full speed with a VERY dangerous 6 foot arm swinging around in order to reach into the robot to switch it off. oh, and when its a four wheel drive robot, its even harder to stop the robot for if it was 2 wheel drive, you just need to tip it onto its casters. |
