Did you mean "testing" or "tasting"?

Here's a pic of what my game idea, game field would look like.
Key:
Black = boundaries
Blue = lines
Green = ball
Brown = ladder setups
Orange = box
Red = start positions
So the game would basically be around the same dimensions as this year, there would be six wall like things but instead of glass it would have horizontal bars going across from post to post. The teams would have to get horse shoes, or something similar and place the horse shoes on the horizontal bars, the higher up the more points, then as a second strategy the teams could defend by taking the horse shoes off (BTW there are two different colored horse shoes to tell form alliances) Then a third strategy to this game would be the lines where the robot would have to weave in and out of the lines, and for every other line it crossed it would et like 2 points, then the bonus for the extra 12 points would be to go to the center of the ring and get the ONE ball and bring it over to there alliance station wall and put it in the box (with no lid, and is wide enough so it is possible for the opposing team to get the ball out of the box) For autonomous each line crossed would be 4 points, and for each horse shoe it would be determined by the height at which it was placed.

That clown sends shivers down my spine. Not nice! :( lol
And I am not even THAT afraid of clowns.
And I think Libby is right Dave - you really shouldn't post pictures of yourself like that... the ones you already post are scary enough! :P

I got it! Edible Rack 'n Roll! With freshly glazed Krispy Kreme ringers (so... good...) and a rack made of candy canes and chocolate! Yum!

I know that was last year's game, but the donuts...

I'm betting right now that we will have to run over some obstacles that can "explode" or "run over" our robots. Why? Because we wouldn't have switched over to NI's bomb-proof cRio for no reason would we? And I don't think the game design committee would not use the KoP to its FULL potential.

... Dave, what do you think?

All right now, guys. Dave, I think you need to have Heidi put you in a clown suit. Game ideas should probably wait a little bit...

And has no one else noticed that the thread is from 2004? The original question was answered in 2005. It's now 2008 and the thread is being used to discuss the 2009 game. 4 years...that's the typical time of a high school student in FIRST.

More matches to play.
More strategizing.
Greater chance to be with/against other teams, especially at CMP.
More finalist/regional winner awards to give out. :D

I realize that would be a crowded field and a greater chance of robots not having a major role, however, with the right game and right field setup, it can be done.

After spending so much time, effort, and $$$$, I would want to have the opportunity to play as much as we can.

I would personally like to see 3v3v3 or 2v2v2. I think that would be so interesting and fun to play.

That'll be another 1v1v1. The result: "Since collusion, intentional or not, cannot be prevented, it will now be required."--Woodie Flowers, 1999 Kickoff

The background: In the 1998 game, FIRST had noticed that none of the top 10 teams on Friday were there on Saturday. They looked at the matches and found that the two lower teams ganged up on the higher-seeded team. Intentional or not, nobody really knew.

The result was 2v2 alliances, expanded to 3v3 in 2005.
