Congradulations Warren! You really showed your dedication to your team and to FIRST by attending meetings and events even while you seemed to be almost unable to do so, during this past year. I think that the amount of effort that you put into this program deserves great recognition, such as Chiefdelphi's Unsung FIRST Hero award. Great job.

By the way, I was not the only person who thought we should nominate you, I was just the one to submit it.

Warren,

I dont know you personally, however its a huge honor to be a first unsung hero. The reason FIRST is such a huge success is due to the effort and work that people like you present. I am grateful for mentors like you, its what makes our time here special.

<OK Gary, be nice, what has he ever done to you......>

Seriously, after my wife I consider Warren my best friend. It's great to have someone you can have fun with and be totally honest with too. There's noone I'd rather hang around with. Working together (2 different places), raising kids together, roboticizing together (7 years?), calmly discussing college football/basketball/baseball (something feels wrong seeing your name with the letters UF in front of it, albeit UFH  ).

Congrats cajun. (I can't call you c.a., I'd get bounced from the forum).

Way to go Warren! I have only known you for a while, but I can tell you are most deserving of this!

Okay, but seriously now...

Warren, you are most deserving of this award. Thank you for everything you've done for the team, we couldn't have gotten this far without you. You are a great team leader, I was so glad that your surgery worked out and that you came back this year. It was another great year, and I'm looking forward to next year!!

Re: UFH: Warren Boudreaux

Now that my 15 minutes of fame are about over, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the folks at Chief Delphi for selecting me as an Unsung FIRST Hero. I would also like to thank Jon and the rest of the crew that nominated me.

The reason I keep doing this is that this is such a great group of people to be associated with. Students, mentors, parents, the FIRST community, everyone.

It helps that I haven't grown up yet.

Then again, I shouldn't have to worry about a mid-life crisis if I never grow up.

Thanks again, to everyone.

I've been trying to figure out what to say besides the simple thank you and congratulations to this. And to the moderators, yes I know I'll probably get a PM on why are you reviving a dead thread but it is more than worth it. I'm a moderator on the National Youth Leadership Forum Message Boards so I understand all too well.... between school, FIRST, life, and my duties there keep me busy so I haven't checked CD in a while.

15 minutes????

Warren, you and all the other mentors I've known in my high school years on S.P.A.M. are Hall of Fame in my book. I can only hope I do half as well as you all have done as mentors. Thanks for everything!
