Heh. I'd be willing to guess that if you guys combined all your gmail invites, you'd have well over 2tb of email storage space :) Does anyone else think that this thread is pretty useless any more? Who was the last person to actually get a gmail account from this thread?

Hey If you have a high speed internet connection you could have some free hard drive space!

Just keep emailing yourself big files.... :ahh:

You would think Google would just open this up to the public completely now with all the invites that are just sitting around

(besides the link that was posted)

Re: Who Want's A Gmail Account?

There is the Gmail Drive Shell Extension http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm it installs itself as another drive in your My Computer. The only downside is that files must be 10 MB or smaller (in order to comply with google's 10 MB attachment limit)

If you have a webserver, you can use Gmail Invite sig to update your signature with the number of gmail invites you have. (Like mine.)

You need PHP with the GD and CURL extensions in order to use it.

So, Google gave me 100 invites to give out today... (and they changed the location of the invite link (again)) .

For some reason, I think they are close to leaving beta. There is only one problem: I don't know 100 people who still want Gmail!

Yeah...I got 50...I think they did this, so you won't hesitate to invite everyone you know.

If some one wants to push an invite my way go ahead. I for some reason have forgotten my password or someone hacked it or something and my account has been compromised.

Re: Who Want's A Gmail Account?

If anyone really wants one, they might consider this:

isnoop.net's gmail invite spooler

It's a page that collects invitations, and redirects them to whoever submits a request. I haven't tried it myself, but it seems useful enough. And it's been pretty popular lately, as evidenced by this usage graph.

If you do use it, read and understand the FAQ first!
