I also haven't been able to access Gmail all day. I keep getting a message saying the server has encountered a problem and try again in 30 seconds. Here it is several hours later and still the same message. The computer I'm on now has 2000 Pro and IE6 and all the current service packs/updates. Well, at least I still have my Hotmail account on my other computer.


Maybe we crashed their server with all the invites we've been giving out here. :yikes:

I have had no problems at all .. its probably something on your end, or your ISP's end.

it is working now. i tried it on several computers, so it was not my computer. i think that it was just a problem with new people signing up. anyway, i got my account now, i have the same question as sam...when will i get my invites!?!?

I only had to wait a day to get my first three.... but this was almost two weeks ago. I see some are getting six now??

i got my account last week but just today i recieved my invitations.... so i thin they are having you wait a lil longer but i got 6 of them so i think instead of giving you 3, 2 times in 5 days for 6 total they give you 6 all at once now after a few days...

I just got one from my brother so within the next few weeks I'll be handing out invites too. That is of course if Gmail ever works again.........

I have this feeling that Google may be going public real soon is why there has been the difficulty. I have been attempting to sell back my invites on ebay to pay for the one I bought originally...... I'm hoping it doesn't catch up to me until I have it paid off!!!!! :yikes:

I'm also having problems getting into gmail,on ie of course. This is the first time I've had a problem, and also the first time that I have tried to access with Internet Explorer. I usually use Mozilla, except I'm away and using a different computer than normal,and downloading another browser would take too long...
