Just a word for a friend

When I went to my graduation this evening, I was a bit surprised to find my friend Areg not in attendance. I soon learned that he had been involved in a serious accident two days ago. As far as I know, he was driving when a tire blew out, he lost control, and slammed into a telephone pole. His skull was fractured and he was severely injured. He was unconcious when they pulled him from the car. Just this morning he got off the respirator but he is still unable to speak. While they expect him to recover, there is not word on if he will fully recover. He could have been killed. Although he was not directly involved with FIRST, I'd appreciate if everyone here could just say a quick word for him.

I'm sorry to hear that and hope he makes a full recovery soon. It isn't until things like this happen and you realize how fragile life really is.

I wish him a speedy and good recovery. I know how you feel, one of my best friends was also involved in a serious accident like this. I can just hope that he gets well very soon.

I just restumbled upon this thread and was wondering how he's doing. Any updates?

I'm sure I'm not the only one on CD that was wondering.

Thanks for asking. I actually haven't seen him since, but I hear is is doing very well. It was a rather long recovery but as far as I know he is pretty much fine now. He is one very lucky guy. Every now and then I drive the exact place where it happened, and I remember that empty seat at graduation.

I never saw this thread earlier or I would have replied, but it is good to hear that he is doing well.
