Are you taking reserved spots for Alpha or Beta testing yet??? :D

I'm no programmer, but I know what I like and don't like in video games and play a lot..
*(note: my newest system is a PS1 and oldest is a Colecovision with the exclusive add-on module to allow you to play Atari games too.:D )

Oh, and I have computer gaming knowledge too.. to some extent. ;)

I can do Flash and Photoshop, thoguh I don't think that's what you guys want. I can also do websites, if you need a website. Don't go to the one in my sig, the domain is currently down.

The Photoshop might be useful, although we have a few others already. The website is cool. I can only remember 1 or 2 who have said that so far (I didn't actually look back...). :)

this is all volunteer, we can't have TOO MUCH help. it's like a FIRST team. On a FIRST team everybody can help - no matter how small the job, they are making the team better.

I was wondering what he hell happened to the FIRST video game thing, we got our own forum thing!

Jim Smith - Programmer
I am hoping to expand my knowledge of C/C++ this summer, as of now i am fairly useless. I know some VB too, but wont use it because i hate it, it was a good stepping language, but i can't see its use with things like C++, Objective C/Cocoa....

Oh, yeah, I am a Mac person only, i have no PCs (i suppose when i get my G5 i MAY be able to run VPC, if MS ever puts it out). So i would like to start working on a mac "port" as soon as possible so it doesn't look and feel like a port.

Check Cementing auxillary file formats. Some things to remeber: 1. When I say ZIP, I mean like WinZip; 2. DLLs are for windows. so you may have to integerate WINE or something. (OS X)

Re: FVG: Group sign up.

Yeah, i know there will be some real issues with the port, that is why i am so adamant about using open standards, and would like to see the open source project only support open standards/multi-platform standards (as many as possible anyway...)

Zip stuff is open, and is all over mac stuff too, but DLLs would be the problem...

If you look around alot of people use alot of different types of computers/Operating systems, whether it be Windows, linux, unix, mac OSX, PowerPC, x86.... So i think it would be good to start off with a multi-platform mind set.

Re: FVG: Group sign up.

Of course, not using DLLs would mean we would have to write a script Virtual Macine. I know which one I'd prefer. (actually, there is a scripting control from MS. it does VBS and Java script)
