If I forgot anybody off this list im sure that Ill be told later... these were some suggestions made of match ups for sumo wrestling during the break of the competition and during certain regional team parties. I was asked by Ken Leung to post the list I compiled of names suggested.

I think FIRST should set aside 3 slots for sumo matches DURING the award ceremony.

FIRST could auction the slots off on Amazon.com. The winner of the auction would get to name whomever they want to don their mawashi and take to the stage.

I suppose that you would have to get the participants to agree to wrestle before the auction, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem... ...we have all done stranger things for FIRST ;-)

Pre-awards entertainment
 

Here's an idea... make the sumo matches the pre-awards entertainment.

As FIRST is getting the hardware lined up and the speeches written, we could be watching these sumo "heavyweights" bash it out on stage.

This would be better than the Disney stilt dancers and the mural painter of previous years, and the trashy music videos of last year.

But... if they can bring back that cool band with the bagpipes, Off-Kilter, the basho is off.

Lol, Oh well, I thought I'd be overlooked, but I'd be thrilled to jump on in ;)

How about for an alternate competition.....DDR tournament. I've gotten much better since Kickoff! I wanna play against Ken again!

And if not, then I guess I'll just be spending the afternoon jumpin round on the pogo stick....

Wow, Dr. Joe. I would think that you lose weight after finishing the robot...

While I'm flattered to be included in this sumo exhibition, for my money I'd love to see Raul vs. Andy vs. Joe match. But they better gas up that little cart that hauls people off the field.

One of sumo wrestling's pre-match ritual is to cleanse the arena (Throwing salt is suppose to get rid of bad spirit) by throwing rock salt on the floor:/

Also, throwing rock salt is almost like declaring a sure win.

Let's get some sumo suits to Florida, and let the competition begin!!!

I can take on most of the engineers at the same time, but that would be unfair if you look at the size of Andy and Joe... Because the little circle on the mat can only fit at most three of those size engineers, and anything less than 6 engineers vs me is unfair to them. Well... maybe if they try really hard and gain a few more pounds before Florida, then maybe 5 of them might have a chance against me.

Don't mean to brag, but I just want to make sure they understand what they are up against.

I think I am just going judge this competition so no one would get hurt badly...
