I guess the title may be a bit misleading but I wanted to compliment everyone with the graphics that come up with posts. What I mean is the little things like the slinky and Mike off ridalin. I know there is a good word to use to describe them but I can't think of it. Anyway, just thought I'd let you guys know that I thought they were cool!

Maybe it's like a buddy icon thing. I think only AOHell, i mean AOL, uses that term. Avatar may be vBulletin's way of describing the same thing.

It says that you're a three headed monster from the Planet Mars. Duh! :p Hmm...maybe not...you've only got one head...so, you can just be a one headed monster from the planet Mars? That seems to make more sense. I always knew you were too weird to be from Earth anyway. Yes, and all of the sudden things seem to make more sense about you. :)

you can just use a gif file or a jpeg to stick in there. but it has to be the right size. clark and i share ours with each other over IM. i get mine from from a really cool website. i don't really want to post it here cause i'm afraid that someone will that all the cool avatar's that i'm saving for later. if you really wanna know carolyn, email me and i might give you the link if i'm nice.

I actually got my slinky thing from my uncle. He sent it to me as an attachment to an email b/c I had fun playing with a slinky on the stairs in his house on the 4th of july (I don't have any stairs in my house and had never actually tried the slinky down the stairs thing before).

go to "user cp" at the top, then to "edit options", then got to the very bottom where it says "change avatar". that should help

if youre afraid that theyll run out of awesome icons youre insane...theyve got like 4 million of them at least.

btw, another one is http://www.badassbuddy.com...its not nearlly as good and not nearly as big as ballericons.com but its got some decent ones. its also an easier url to remember

No, but I usually have it with me on the plane. A couple of teammates actually passed the time by looking at my vest while we were on our way home.

there are several avatars here that i really think are cool...carolyns, davids last few, even a couple of eddie, as well as others. but i cant bring myself to blatently steal it. i prefer to be creative and original.

they are pretty cool...i just scrolled up on the page and got a couple of names with cool avatars...you didnt have a post on that page so i didnt see it right then.

but that takes all the fun out of it

I guess maybe I should put this in the Dirty Laundry section..but..my team used to meet in the portable that was right in front of the field where they kept the cows on the South Fork campus. A few times we went out after meetings in attempts to go cow-tipping but either couldn't find the cows or they chased after us..oh well..

Eddie, my avatar came from a sharing place. The people who submit the avatars they make do so with the knowledge and intention of having other people use them. They even take requests. Try again.

How do you know I didn't take it from the source? How do you know I didn't see it, find where he got it, and took it from there? You really can't tell. Well, it's obvious that I did grab it from David, but what's the difference? An avatar is an avatar.

And I had a different avatar up there for about a month and a half(before the worm).

sometimes someone may use an avatar for personal reasons. the ones that brandon puts for public can be used for anyone. i don't like it people blatently take my stuff. this is kinda like "America's Dumbest Criminals". if you're gonna steal something, don't make it look obvious

You also have to keep in mind that most avatars are public domain.
