Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
I gotta replicate my undefeated streak from last year... will we have the weekly previews/results from Eddie McD and Koko again? Simply put, those previews/reviews pwnt. pwnzered.
[edit] did anyone else go back and read the entire thread from last year just for kicks? or was that just me? [/edit] [edit2]- I just checked the league settings, and we're going to have 3 quarterback slots... 20 teams in the league = 60 quarterbacks? That means most of us would have one or two backups starting every week.. Also, I really enjoyed having defensive players last year, any change we could have some changes on this league settings? [/edit2] |

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
I suggest cutting the the rosters down a bit. There will be too many teams for everyone to have all starters on their rosters.
I suggest that the offense be cut to 'QB, WR, WR, RB, WR/TE' and the defense be cut to 'D, DB, DL.' Any comments? Here's to me leading the league in ties again! =-\ |

I believe this falls under the "wish I wasn't away from CD yesterday" category. Made one yesterday, didn't get to post it. League I.D. is 78868, password is "deankamen" (without the quotes). If you want in, fine (hey, two leagues should be an interesting challenge). Just FYI.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
Each team should get two runningbacks. I liked having more defensive players, like we did last year.
[edit] having some bench spots would be great too. Cory |
Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
Time for me to follow up my public league championship in 1 league, and #1 seeding in another league, with a win in the FIRST league!
I think you should add another WR slot, or change it to, QB, WR, WR/TE, WR/TE, TE, RB, RB |
Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
I just signed up this morning, under "Amazin' Blue". It's a play off the University of Michigan school colors, Maize and Blue, if you don't get it.

George is barely out of the lead for most ties in Fantasy Baseball too! I already drafted two teams in other leagues, so I'm ready to get it done. Can't wait for the 30th! At least we didnt hold it awhile ago and have people picking up Ricky Williams, Anquan Boldin, and Marcell Shipp. Cory |

Fantasy Draft Analysis
Best QB's
The Teal Curtian- Aaron Brooks, Tom Brady - Brooks is a stud (and I should know I had him last year) and Brady is a proven commidity. Best RB's Pelan's Bobcats - Shawn Alexander, Rudi Johnson and Zack Crockett. Alexnader is a top notch pick. Johnson is money and Crocket is a touchdown scoring machine. Best WR's sigmakittens - Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, Darell Jackson Marcus Robinson and Terry Glenn. Moss and Harrison are the two best recivers in football. WHen Jackson isn't dropping the ball he's making big plays. Robinson was deadly at the end of last season and Glenn has big play potential. Best kickers Amaizin' Blue - Mike Vanderjagt and Shayne Grahm Mike Vanderjagt never misses and Grahm has a big play offense as backup. Best defense Koko's X-Cats - Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Ray Lewis, Simeon Rice and Jason Taylor. The Panthers are just plain vicious and the Broncos get to slap around an impotent Chargers offense (if they can control Thomlinson) on the Panther's bye. Lewis is the best player in the NFL. Period. Rice and Taylor are sack machines. |

Week I Analysis
FIRST ROBOTICS FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE I
Koko's X-Cats vs. Cooney Quest I don't know if the Cooney Quest's colors should be Purple of Packer Green. It's big fantasy football no-no to draft heavily from one team and the Panthers are a nasty D to put up with. But Farve is a gamer and if he does well Cooney Quest will do well. If not...They are also at a disadvantage on defense without Harper on defense. Sparxs1126 vs. gaelforce126 McNabb can make or break you but the Giants probably won't slow im down so Sparx1126 should benefit from his presence. Hassaback is much more rock steady. The Holmes/ Portis matchup is huge. The Sparxs need a new kicker. boodah25 vs.Amaizin' Blue boodah is taking a HUGE gamble on Drew Bledsoe but his two running backs may have his back if Davis is as good as he says. Amaizin' Blue needs another defensive player. ValleyGirls vs.The Teal Curtain Last years number one seed the Valleygirls come back with the lethal Daunte Culpepper leading the way. Aaron Brooks though is an equally talanted player. Jamal Lewis could be the difference for the Curtain. Paragon571 vs. Epsilon Delta Basically it's Pargon571's Manning and Owens vs. Epsilon Delta's combo of Vick and Thomlinson. Having his own defense against his starting QB is quite a predicament for Pagon571. Delta needs another running back or wide reciever. NU Cowboys vs.NorCal Crushers The Cowboys have nice recivers but their running back don't come close to matching Green and McNair is miles above Maddox. The Crushers choice of San Francisco as their defense is dubious. Can Dallas close the gap for the Cowboys? Sigmakittens vs.Dunedain The kittens have an amzing set of recivers and hope to benfit from the no chuck rule (AKA the Ty Law) but thier quarterback, running back and defense (have the Chiefs learned to tackle yet?) are questionable. Marc Bulger steady as a fault line but he has a pair of good backs and D is better. ryforstek525 vs.Pelan's Bobcats Pelan Bobcat's backs are a step above ryforstek's. Garcia may be required to make up the difference or the Eagles D which should feast on the Giants. Brad Johnson is a little scary at quarterback but the Bucs D could get the Bobcats some nice points. By the way, if you want your team to be represented by a different color, let me know. |
Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
OK-i had a pretty bad draft-darn Yahoo CPU. All my players are basically up for grabs, Bledsoe, Barlow, and Davis are the biggest names, so start offering.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
FIRST ROBOTICS LEAGUE II
Koko's X-Cats vs. Cooney Quest Heh. OK how did the Cooney Quest practically end up with practically the same team as in the first FIRST Robotics FF team? As in the first there are too many Packers and they don't even have the most valueble Packer, Ahman Green. I do. Rhode Island Charge vs. South Fl Jets The Holmes/ Thomlinson matchup is the main event but the secondary running backs Foster and Garner could be the difference. Hasselback is going to be a big time player for the Jets but Brady is underrated for some reason. Dunedain vs. The Shoats Clinton Portis the the heavy artillary for Dunedain. The Shoats counter with the Indy one-two puch of Harrison and Wayne. If they do well the SHoats have a chance. Their own defense is againt their own recievers though. Toronto Phantoms vs. Valleygirls EJ (a friend of mine from @forums) takes on Kristina who looks strange without he personal fantasy football Teddy Bear Daunte Culpepper in tow but Steve McNair is a fine replacement and is certianly better than Garcia. Unfortunately the Valleygirls don't have any backs better than Jamal Lewis and will need the Raven's D to take up the slack for them. Hurricanes vs. Stud Man Clan McNabb could make or break the 'canes. Pennigton is more steady when he's healthy. Alexander is a stud for the 'canes but Brown could be the steal of the draft for the Clan. This Space for Rent vs. Philly Cheesesteaks The Vick/ Culpepper matchup earns top billing but what Domanic Davis does for the Cheesesteaks and Duece McAllister does for the Renters (and Duce Staley and Thomas Jones to a lesser extent) will probably go further in determing the winner. Coco's Monkeys vs. Nor Cal Crushers The Monkey's Manning vs. the Crusher's McCown is an ugly ugly mismatch. If Henry and Taylor run wild in Buffalo for the Crushers things will go more smoothly. The Monkey's are hoping Dillon is revitalized in New England. The Lightning vs. JC's Juggernauts It's scary when your best player may be your kicker but no one really sticks out on the Juggernauts but Vnaderjagt really. Of course the best thing going for the Lightning is Rudi Johnson (don't say Marc Bulger. I'm not sold on him yet) so maybe Vanderjagt is all the Juggernauts need. The Borg vs. Bonecrushers The Borg could stand to assimilate some better players. Todd Heap is the only constent threat on the roster (Johnson and Faulk are fading and no one knows if Westbrook will last all season. Burress regressed and Kansas City needs to prove that they are willing to tackle people). If Owens and Davis show up and play like they are capable of they may be able to lead the Bonecrushers to victory themselves. |
Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
My Yahoo ID has not been letting me log in for the past two weeks, darn SBC Yahoo DSL messing me up. They are still trying to resolve it, so I haven't even seen my team yet. Hopefully I can get back in and make some changes.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
As you can tell, scoring has been changed drastically from last season. Quarterbacks (and to a lesser extent, receivers) are no longer the dominant force in the game. Defense now has an actual purpose, and things seem balanced (until you take on a team like the Hurricanes and face a 100+ score; that was just amazing). Of course, I have to say that Koko Ed rocks (and it won’t be the last time I say it this season) for doing the pre-games. And like last year, the post-game falls to me. Onward:
Rhode Island Charge d. South Fl Jets 76-40 The Jets were playing with what could be a good team if everything came together. The problem is it didn’t come together. They were only able to outdo the Charge in receiving (which is quite possibly Rhode Island’s weak point). The Charge had a 25 from Priest Holmes and 21 from Tom Brady. Even a 9 from the kicking position helped as the commissioner’s team slid easily to victory. Koko's X-Cats d. Cooney Quest 65-39 Cooney had Adam Vinatieri score 10. It’s not good when your only double digit score comes from a kicker. Unable to best the X-Cats anywhere else, the Quest’s game was quickly over Thursday night. Meanwhile, a Monday night performance from Ahman Green (of whom Koko actually does have) scoring 23, combined with a 12 from the Tampa DEF and Alge Crumpler just barely hitting the double digit mark put Koko up top. The Shoats d. Dunedain 62-33 Ed was right about Dunedain having heavy artillery in Clinton Portis. He scored 13. With that and Pittsburg, Dunedain had 26 points. Not much else can be said (and it doesn’t help that their QB gave a big donut on the board). Of course, I can talk about The Shoats’ Barber taking 15, and Jason Elam nabbing a 12. An 11 Monday night for Jake Delhomme would cap their victory. Toronto Phantoms d. Valleygirls 61-38 The Valleygirls take a different start then they did last year. It just wasn’t their day. A net of 0 in the receiving department and only one RB performing (Emmitt Smith with 10) severely hindered last year’s top seed. All the Phantoms’ really needed was their impressive defensive showing of 31. Jeff Garcia finished the deal for Toronto, scoring 15. Hurricanes d. Stud Man Clan 102-46 “McNabb could make or break the 'canes.” Yep, prettymuch with the “make” category. That’s a 30, for those of us counting. “Alexander is a stud for the 'canes…” We’ll also go with “yes” on that. Add 25 for him. I may as well talk about Isaac Bruce’s 12 and Tennessee’s 19. The clan did start to put up a fight with Pennington’s 16 and Moss’s 13. Unfortunately, the fight stopped there. That’s a W and the high score of the week for the Hurricanes. Philly Cheesesteaks d. This Space for Rent 85-51 I turn to quoting my pre-game counterpart again, who called the right match, but the wrong day. “The Vick/ Culpepper matchup earns top billing…” And it should’ve. But Mike Vick had a bad day for TSfR, only scoring 6 compared to Culpepper’s 35. “…but what Domanick Davis does for the Cheesesteaks and Deuce McAllister does for the Renters will probably go further in determing the winner.” That was definitely correct. With McAllister scoring a mighty goose egg, that left Davis with an (actually) mighty 15. And, as Ed called it, it determined the winner Coco's Monkeys d. Nor Cal Crushers 66-46 Ed said this was a mismatch, and he was right. It’s not that the Crushers have a bad team; it’s that he also needs things to go right at the right time. The Monkeys surprisingly didn’t win at QB with Manning’s 14, it was won at RB with Quentin Griffin’s 22. The Crusher’s running backs (who probably will make and/or break Nor Cal in the future) combined for 6. They were able to gain a little on the defensive side, but it wasn’t enough. The Lightning d. JC's Juggernauts 40-33 Closest game of the week. And I really don’t mean that in a good way. It seemed like the teams wanted to give away the victory to the opponent. The only player in the double digits was JC’s Curtis Martin (21). But the Juggernauts seemed the best at giving away the game with nobody else clearing 4 points (and a QB who scored -1). Meanwhile, high points (and I use the term lightly) on The Lightning side of things were Marc Bulger’s 8 and Atlanta’s 9. I imagine both teams will do much better next week. Bonecrushers d. The Borg 66-36 Proving that resistance definitely isn’t futile, the Bonecrushers lived up to their name. Yes, Ed was correct in stating “The Borg could stand to assimilate some better players…”. Their best effort was by Faulk, who scored 9. Moving on to the Bonecrushers, they had Dunn’s 15 and Owens’s 21 leading them, with a nice auxiliary showing of 11 from Jeff Wilkins and Philadelphia’s 10. That was your ballgame, folks. And speaking of ballgames, this week’s post-game is done. With no ties, standings are pretty straightforward. And look, here they are! NorCal Crushers216 NU Cowboys 156 The Crushers were led by Ahman Green's 93 points and a 23 - (-2) advantage for the Detriot Lions defense over the Dallas Cowboys defense. Pelans Bobcats were led by Shaun Alexnader, who was on a roll scoring 85 points before going down to injury. Brad Johnson added 59 points and Rudi Johnson added 55 points. |
LEAGUE I WEEK II ANALYSIS
Koko's X-Cats (1-0) vs. Pelan's Bobcats(0-1)
Both teams are sporting major injuries at running back with Shaun Alexander hurting for the Bobcats and Chris Brown for the X-Cats. The X-Cats have a big advantage at quarterback and that could be the difference. Sparxs1126(1-0) vs. boodah25 (1-0)The Sparx could ride on the shoulders of McNabb and Holmes to victory. boodah25 needs big time production from running backs Kevan Barlow and Domanic Davis to stay close. gaelforce126(0-1) vs. Cooney Quest(0-1) This is the week when the Quest's heavy leaning on the Pack could pay nice dividens getting the Bears at home. It hurts them to have two starting running backs who are a bad quarter away (or a good quarter by somebody else) from riding the pine. gaelforce126 will rely on Matt Hasselback and Clinton Portis to power them to victory. ValleyGirls(0-1) vs. Amaizin' Blue (0-1)The Valleygirls are basically leaning on Daute Culpepper carrying the team to victory. If Amazin' Blue's three backs Edgerrin James, Quentin Griffin and Brian Westbrook perform as well as they did last week this one won't even be close. Paragon571 (0-1) vs. The Teal Curtain(1-0) I don't know if Curtis Martin can give the Teal Curtain another 190+ yard performance but I am willing to bet they'll get more out of Jamal Lewis this week. Tiki Barber is ok for Paragon571 but Emmit Smith is only adequet at this stage of his career. They will rely on Peyton Manning and Terell Owens to take up the slack. NU Cowboys (0-1) vs. Epsilon Delta (1-0)Epsilon Delta will lay thier hopes on the arm and legs of Micheal Vick and the legs of LaDanian Thomlinson. Those two are far better than anyone the Cowboys have who turn to A.J. Feeley to start at quarterback and hope Fred Taylor and Tyrone Whetley will be enough at running back. They may need Torry Holt, Koren Robinson and Jeremy Shockey to save the day. Sigmakittens (0-1) vs. NorCal Crushers (1-0) DaShon Foster could be quite a sleeper this week for the kittens going agaisnt the porous Chiefs D (at til they finally succumb and fall hopeleely behind and abandon the run) but whether he can match the Crusher's Ahman Green remains to be seen (most unlikely). Moss, Harrison, Heap and Jackson may have to rescue them and the kittens could use a better effort from Byron Leftwich as well. It wouldn't hurt the Crusher's to get better production out of Steve McNair. ryforstek525 (1-0) vs. .Dunedain (1-0) ryforstek525 will miss Stephen Davis terribly. Can Marshall Faulk and Warrick Dunn pick up the slack? Perhaps Jeff Garcia is the answer. Can Marc Bulger manage to control his turnover problem? If McAllister and Gates produce it won't really matter. |
League II Analysis
Koko's X-Cats (1-0) vs. Rhode Island Charge (1-0)
The Ahman Green/ Preist Holmes matchup is the heavyweight matchup here and the Arron Brooks/ Tom Brady hookup is the undercard so where is the advantage? Perhaps in the reciever matchup where the X-Cats boast Alge Crumpler and up and comming Antonio Gates and the Charge have Chris Chambers and Joe Horn. South Fl Jets (0-1) vs. Bonecrushers (1-0) To put it simply the BOnecrushers are in trouble with Stepehn Davis being out and LaDanian Thomlinson playing for the Jets. They need a big big game from Byron Leftwich to make up the slack or at least to match Matt Hasselback's production and hope to squeak out a victory (Terrell Owens having a huge Monday night would be nice). Dunedain (0-1) vs. Cooney Quest (0-1) Dunedain got the advantage with Clinton Portis and Lamar Gordon over a hurting Garrison Hearst and Tyrone Wheatley (who could get alot points from one yard plunges). Toronto Phantoms (1-0) vs. The Shoats (1-0) The Phantoms will have an angry Jamal Lewis looking to make amends running for them while Tiki Barber could find the going pretty tough against the 'skins for The Shoats and Duckett still sharing carries with Dunn to limit his fantasy production. How the Colts passing game goes today could determine the game as the SHoats have both Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Hurricanes (1-0) vs. Valleygirls (0-1) The 'canes will miss Alexander but the Valleygirls don't really have anyone at running back to take advantage and will look to Steve McNair to lead them but the 'canes have Donvan McNabb who is in line for a massive Monday night. This Space for Rent(0-1) vs. Stud Man Clan (0-1) The Clan is hanstrung with an empty roster spot and the possibility of doing without Chris Brown. The 1-2 punch of Micheal Vick and Duece McAllister may be enough to take out the Clan. Depends on how big Pennington and Barlow produce for the Clan. Philly Cheesesteaks (1-0) vs. Coco's Monkeys (1-0) It doesn't get better than Peyton Manning vs. Daunte Culpepper but the running game almost always settles the matter and the Monkey's Corey Dillon and Quentin Griffin vs. the Cheessteaks Duce Staley and Domanic Davis will probably do just that. The Lightning ( 1-0) vs. Nor Cal Crushers (0-1) The Crusher's two backs are hurting and their quarterback is facing the slick Patriots D. The Lightning's two running backs face nasty opposition from two run stuffing D. James vs. the Titans and Johnson vs. the 'phins. If Bulger can control his turnovers he may be enough to take the Lightning over the top. The Borg (0-1) vs. JC's Juggernauts (0-1) Having a washed up Eddie George, a still trying to prove he's back Curtis Martin and rookie Eli Manning is not a good way for the Juggernauts to seek victory . Not that Brad Johnson and Marshall Faulk are spring chickens but Brain Westbrook could move the Borg to the top. |
Week II Results
Week 2 is done. An interesting factoid is half the teams that lost last week won, and vice-versa. Results:
Koko's X-Cats (1-0) d. Rhode Island Charge (1-0) 58-54 The annual pre-game vs. post-game match ends with pre-game taking a 2-0 lead in this rivalry. Rhode Island’s receivers had a turnaround from last week, combining for 19. But Holmes and Brady also had a turnaround from last week, neither one of them hitting double digits (and had they kept Strahan in, they would’ve tied). While not very impressive in the offensive scoring (save Aaron Brooks’s 24, which is probable cause for victory), the X-Cats were able to step it up with a kicker scoring 9 and a defensive effort of 18. The X-Cats are starting strong in their title defense, while the commissioner may be starting his losing streak early this year. Bonecrushers (1-0) d. South Fl Jets (0-1) 63-31 No one player on the Bonecrushers put in something amazing. But let’s face it: they didn’t need it. Everyone is pulling their weight, making this a very impressive scoring. They were led by Warrick Dunn’s 14. The Jets had a Tomlinson score of 13 leading them. Then add three 0s, and the next best score was a 6. It’s easy to see how the Bonecrushers lived up to their name for the second week in a row. Cooney Quest (0-1) d. Dunedain (0-1) 42-32 This wasn’t the greatest game all week, but it did have its good points. Alright, it was Adam Vinatieri’s 11 and Torry Holt’s 12 on the Quest side of things, but that was enough to make it interesting. Dunedain had only one player above 5 points, so it was prettymuch a shoe-in that Cooney would win. The Shoats (1-0) d. Toronto Phantoms (1-0) 63-49 I don’t think Jeff Garcia’s -6 helped the Phantoms. Jamal Lewis pulled in 15, and the defense’s 25 seemed like it could offset their QB. But The Shoats just outright played better. Delhomme actually had positive points (15), and Toronto’s defense equaled The Shoats’ total in that area. The rest just pulled itself together. Valleygirls (0-1) d. Hurricanes (1-0) 55-53 If the Valleygirls had one critical weakness this season, it’s that Steve McNair is not at his greatest this season. Luckily, Matt Stover stepped up with 12, and Baltimore joined in with 22. Of course, the Hurricanes weren’t a pushover with McNabb putting up 23 on Monday. But while everyone else played pretty well, they fell 2 points short of the Girls this week. Stud Man Clan (0-1) d. This Space for Rent (0-1) 75-45 Okay, nobody would be able to defeat the Clan this week. A 30 from his RBs was added to Pennington’s 17 and Dallas’s 16. TSfR came with its Mike Vick 14 and Tom Jones’s 13. But if you’re following the math currently, the rest of the game correlates like this. While not a terrible game for TSfR, he had the Clan this week. ‘Nuff said. Coco's Monkeys (1-0) d. Philly Cheesesteaks (1-0) 60-51 It’s the game that stoink built! ::cue special "stoink" sound effect:: This story is all about the fumble, and how it changed the score in the Monkeys’ favor. I’ll be frank, Coco didn’t win the game (even though I’ll give them props with a Manning 17 and a Seattle 19); Philly lost it. Dominick Davis, who did pretty well last week, lost the ball twice. But what this really came down to was that epic fumble at the goal line late Monday night by Daunte Culpepper. That’s -9 from the fumbles, and I’ll even call an effective -6 for Culpepper not scoring on that play. Murphy’s Law was mean to the Cheesesteaks (and to This Space for Rent, but that’s another story entirely ;)), and it literally cost them the game. The Lightning (1-0) d. Nor Cal Crushers (0-1) 68-43 “The Crusher's two backs are hurting and their quarterback is facing the slick Patriots D.” Ed was exactly right here, with a combined total of 3 between the three. Hope came with a defensive 25, but the Crushers hit the same roadblock they hit last week; they all needed to come together at the same time, and they didn’t. But you also can’t discount the Lightning’s great performance. Their defense scored 26, James scored 18, and Andre Johnson scored 10. They go to 2-0. JC's Juggernauts (0-1) d. The Borg (0-1) 63-39 The Juggernauts were finally fulfilling their namesake, taking down The Borg faster than Brannon Braga ever could. Their big disadvantage is the fact that their QB isn’t playing, but Martin’s 18 and Ward’s 14 made that a moot point. The Borg tried to combat JC with Jay Feely scoring 10 and Kansas City’s 11, but an even worse score at QB (-3) and nearly non-existent receiving gave them no chance. The X-Cats also got 44 points from the Carolina Panther's defense, 15 points from Ray Lewis and 12 ponts from John Carney. Sparxs1126 got alot help from the D with 34 points from the Buffalo Bills D, 22 points from LaVarr Arrington and 12 ponts from Dwight Freeney. gaelforce126(1-1) 242 Cooney Quest(0-2) 176 The Quest got prodcution from it's Packers (132 of it's 176 points. Mostly from Farve who had 81) but not much else from anyone else. A 97 - 40 advantage in the running gmae was more than enough to seal the deal for gaelforce. Gaelforce got 57 points from Matt Hasselback, 39 points from the Jacksonville Jaguar's D, 24 points from Brain Dawkins, 16 points from Hines Ward and 11 points from Adam Vineteri. ValleyGirls(1-1) 304Amaizin' Blue (0-2)218 The Valleygirls are basically leaning on Daute Culpepper carrying the team to victory. Ask and you shall recieve. As in 149 points. A 31-18 advatage in the reciving game also helped the Valleygirls. Amaizin' Blue got an 88- 18 advatage in the running game but also sport a 94 - 42 deficency (the Baltimore Ravens D outscored them with 57 points). Trent Green added 63 points for Amaizin' Blue. The Teal Curtain(2-0)309 Paragon571 (0-2)251 The Teal Curtian used a 145 - 72 advantage in the running game and a 40-13 advantage in the recieinvg game (29 points for Daniel Graham) to compensate for Peyton manning scoring a 96-71 advatage over Tom Brady and a 56-33 in the defense. Epsilon Delta (2-0)279 NU Cowboys (0-2) 206 Epsilon Delta rode a 123 - 55 running back advatage to victory. They also got 83 points from Micheal Vick, 47 points from the Miami Dolphins D and 17 points from Mike Vrable. The Cowboys got a surprising 77 points from AJ Feeley(don't ask me how. I thought he was terrible) They also got 45 points from the Dallas Cowboys defense and 12 points from Torry Holt. NorCal Crushers (1-0) 301Sigmakittens (0-1) 173 THe Crushers crushed the kittens with MCanir's hearty 95 points, the Detriot Lion's defense 78 points, Ahman Green's 52 points, Zach Thomas' 36 points, Donte Stallworth's 11 points and LJ Smith's 10 points. DeShaun Foster ran wild all over the pourous KC defense that somehow still scored 26 points for the kittens and even more strangely Byron Leftwich scored 39 points from his minimal offesive output. What's really wierd is that Randy Moss only contributed 9 points!!! Dunedain (2-0) 291 ryforstek525 (0-2) 186 Marc Bulger outscored Jeff Garcia 96-34 for Dunedain to pave tha way for an easy victory. A 104-82 running game advatage and a 78-53 defensive advatage finished off ryforstek525 who need to think about getting a defensive player. |
LEAGUE I WEEK III ANALYSIS
Koko's X-Cats (2-0) vs. Dunedain (2-0) The X-Cats are in HUGE TROUBLE as the main contributors to thier dominace are sitting out this week on a bye and they are forced to go with untested backups and supporting players to come through. Chris Brown will have to overcome the unreal Jacksonville Jaguars run defense for the X-Cats to survive. Dunedain is missing Duece McAllister but may see big things out of Thomas Jones and Lamar Gordon this week.
Sparxs1126(1-1) vs. ValleyGirls(1-1)It's the Sparxs Donovan McNabb vs. the Valleygirls Daunte Culpepper. With the Sparxs Preist Holmes hurting it may be up to the recievers to decide this one. gaelforce126(1-1) vs. boodah25 (2-0)boodah25 is sleeping at the wheel with their starting QB and a reciever on a bye they haven't put in the backup. With Matt Hasselback and Tatum Bell getting a free shot at boodah25 it could be a loooong week for them. Paragon571 (0-2) vs. Amaizin' Blue (0-2) Edgerrin James may still play for Amazin' Blue but how effect he will be reamins to be seen. Ironically hos effectiveness will effect Paragon571's Peyton Manning's effectiveness one way or another. NU Cowboys (0-2) vs. The Teal Curtain(2-0) The Teal Curtain is sporting big time advantages at quarterback (Arron Brooks over AJ Feeley) running back (teammates Jamal Lewis and Chester Taylor vs. Fred Taylor and Tyrone Whetley). The COwboys also have a reciever on bye and have not put in the backup. Sigmakittens (0-2)vs. Epsilon Delta (2-0)Both teams have players on bye but the kittens are without DeShaun Foster and Epsilon Delta is only without Mike Vrable. The kittens bigger concern is thier quarterback, the ineffivcinet Byron Leftwich vs. the spectacular Micheal Vick for Epsilon Delta. ryforstek525 (0-2) vs. NorCal Crushers (2-0) ryforstek525 had Eric Moulds on bye and an unemployed player on defense and a backup to the Crushers star running back (Nahjhe Davenport to Ahman Green). Anything from Steve McNair is gravy for the Crushers. Pelan's Bobcats(1-1) vs. Cooney Quest(0-2) The Quest could feed off of the Pack moving the ball alot on the less-than-inspiring Colts D. Besides missing their kicker who is on a bye the Bobocats are also very hurt and will need the Johnsons (Brad and Rudi) to come through for them in a big way. |

League II Week 3 Analysis
Koko's X-Cats (2-0) vs. South Fl Jets (0-2)
There are some very interesting matchups in this game. The X-Cats got Arron Brooks. The JEts got Matt Hasselback. The X-Cats got Ahman Green. The Jets got LaDamian Thomlinson. The X-Cats got Alge Crumpler. The Jets got his Falcons teammate Peerless PRice. Ultimately it comes down to which secondary running back produce. Anthony Thomas for the X-Cats or Charlie Garner for the Jets. Rhode Island Charge (1-1) vs. Dunedain (0-2) Holmes is hurting for the Charge and I am at a loss to really find where the scoring will come from (who the heck is Josh Scobey?). If Clinton Portis can produce for Dunedain they may be able to get out with a win in this one. Toronto Phantoms (1-1) vs. Cooney Quest (1-1) Besides the Quest missing thier kicker (who is on a bye) and using an unemployed defender the Phantoms have Jamal Lewis running on a Bengals D that doesn't quite remind people of the Ravens D Marvin Lewis authored in 2000. It's up to Farve to save the Quest's bacon. Hurricanes (1-1) vs. The Shoats (2-0) The Canes are missing Eric Moulds (who is on a bye) and Shaun Alexander is hurting but they still have Donovan McNabb. The Shoats are going with David Carr but also have the Colts recieivng battery. This Space for Rent(0-2) vs. Valleygirls (1-1) McNair will be heavily depended on to defeat a tough Jags D so that could be very good news for the Valleygirls who also could benefit from the Ravens D taking on an unexperienced quarterback. The Renters have Vick running all over the sad Cardnals D but what Thomas Jones does against the Vikings D may be the ultimate factor. Coco's Monkeys (2-0) vs. Stud Man Clan (1-1) The Clan have hamstrung themselves with a blank representing the defense and Chad Penningotn on a bye and no backup in sight. The Monkey have Peyton Manning and unless he has an absolutely awful day they won't need any other help. The Lightning ( 2-0) vs. Philly Cheesesteaks (1-1) vs. The Lightning have issues. Marc Bulger does not match the production that Daunte Culpepper has. Edgerrin James is hurting and his kicker and one of his defenders are on a bye. It also doesn't help that the Cheesesteak's Doamanic Davis gets his turn at the non-exostant KC defense. The Lightning will count on the Johnsons (Rudi, Keyshanwn and Andre) to bail them out. The Borg (0-2) vs. Nor Cal Crushers (1-1) Which disappointing quarterback is going to come through for their team? The Borg's Brad Johnson or the Crushers Trent Green. Maybe the Borg's Marshal Faulk or the Crushers Fred Taylor will settle it. JC's Juggernauts (1-1)vs. Bonecrushers (2-0) A constant theme this week is bye week slacking. The Juggernauts continue that with a non existnant defensive player and Curtis Martin on a bye. Terrell Owens and the Philadelphia D could put the Bonecrushers over the top. |

So I feel okay about Holmes. My bad thing for the week is the fact that Tom Brady is off, and I personally don't have confidence in Drew Brees. Oh, and Josh Scobey is a kick/punt returner for Arizona who gets good yardage. Essentially, he's one of my support players. Nothing big, but it provides a steady flow of 6-8 points a week. |

Punt returners are funny. I liked having Daunte Hall but the best ones only make a big play every once in a while. |

Well, Charlie Garner was doing well for the South Florida Jets but it looks like he just blew out his knee. Garner was worrying me because I didn't get the production I had hoped from my players. This week could be a close shave for me but John Carney, of all people, could be big for me.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
In my three, im the Top scorer/undefeated in each one. This is my weakest team by far. The one league i have a 50 point lead so far, and its tough to get a lot of points in a week.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
I was practically having heart attacks the past 3 hours, but Portis didn't reach the endzone, and only got 5 points off of yardage. Luckily, John Hall scored 4 for me, giving me the victory by 3.
George, I give to you 1 "EVIL!" point for each heart attack I had during the game. :-p |

Came into tonights game looking for 2 points to keep me from puttin up 3 0's in the win column
Ended up with 20 :D |
Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
I should have joined this league. But right now, I'm up to my neck in leagues, 12. Injuries are screwing me over this season. Garner and Deuce are out. And I keep losing by 10 pts or less this season with my bench guys scoring like 15 pts each week and one of my startes scoring 5 pts or less.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
Okay... as if my week wasn't weird enough, Yahoo decides it wants to count stuff wrong. So going into monday night, I'm up 4. George is only able to gain 1 point on me (as previously mentioned). That makes it 60-57 up through wednesday morning. Log in wednesday night, it's all off a sudden 57-57. Apparently they forgot to count a Drew Brees fumble. Okay, honest mistake by Yahoo, and I can live with a tie, given my situation. I log in this morning to find that I'm now down one point. St. Louis lost a point somewhere. I'm peeved because Yahoo made two scoring mistakes, and didn't have one of them fixed until friday, after I was already excited about my win (and even then still, the tie). Anyhow, I'm pretty sure George won, and I congratulate him on winning his first game. I'm just angry that it took Yahoo 5 days to fix something the naked eye wouldn't notice (and not even tell us either; i'm still wondering why SL lost a point).
So, to sum it up: Yahoo is evil, congratulations George (it was a good game either way), and Ed, I'll have my post game up tomorrow (it'll be the first thing I do). Just writing this now in case people wonder why the scores dramatically changed. Keep flying, -Eddie |
Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
Dunedain (0-2) d. Rhode Island Charge (1-1)
57-56 This game didn’t end on Sunday. It carried on through Monday. Then through Wednesday, then through Friday. Due to terrible scorekeeping, the Charge lost 4 points between the end of Monday’s game, and the writing of this analysis. Not to say that Dunedain didn’t deserve their victory, because they, in all fairness, did. Pittsburgh chipped in 19 points on their behalf, with help from Roy Williams and his 18. Rhode Island’s best score was Michael Strahan’s 15. This was a close one only soured by Yahoo’s terrible scorekeeping. South Fl Jets (0-2) d. Koko's X-Cats (2-0) 44-39 Not the greatest game in the world, but by the looks of these first two games, the underdogs are having one hell of a week. Really, the only thing going for either team was the quarterback position. They both did pretty decent. The Jets had Hasselbeck scoring 17. 4 points behind was the Cats’ Aaron Brooks. I think we can call that the difference. Cooney Quest (1-1) d. Toronto Phantoms (1-1) 71-51 “It's up to Favre to save the Quest's bacon.” Uh, yeah. I’ll blurt out the number of 31, and leave it at that. I’ll also blurt out the dual 11s by Tyrone Wheatley and Phillip Buchanon. Jamal Lewis performed as usual with 17, but that was all Toronto got. Hurricanes (1-1) vs. The Shoats (2-0) draw 64-64 The ties have started already… It was all offense in this game, including the Hurricanes gaining 22 from McNabb, 21 from Shaun Alexander, and the kicker taking 11. The Shoats packed an equally as powerful punch, with Tiki Barber scoring 13, Reggie Wayne’s 15, and a 12 in the kicker spot. One note that should be taken into consideration is that both teams had three 0s, one each from a bye. Anyway, we are on our way to busting Dunedain’s tie record from last year. :D Valleygirls (1-1) d. This Space for Rent (0-2) 64-49 It didn’t look good for either team when both QBs scored below 0. TSfR had a running game worth 20 points to help offset that, but never got anything else off the ground. It was 26 in receiving for the Valleygirls, but they also had 31 coming from the defense. The Valleygirls seem to be coming back from their week 1 slip. Coco's Monkeys (2-0) d. Stud Man Clan (1-1) 73-48 “The Monkeys have Peyton Manning and unless he has an absolutely awful day they won't need any other help.” Psychic Ed calls it again. :D The aforementioned Manning came through with 37, almost literally needing no help. Last year’s comeback kids also had a Seattle 21. And since we’re all good at math here, we realize that the battle is over there. The Clan tried to muster up some resistance, but all they got was a Chris Brown 12 and a Randy Moss 17. The Monkey’s are still undefeated. Philly Cheesesteaks (1-1) d. The Lightning (2-0) 72-60 Edgerrin James, Marc Bulger, and Arizona’s high of 22 were what the Lightning had. Looking for something else? They didn’t have it (and they really needed it). While all the Cheesesteaks had was a kicker’s 13, and Culpepper’s 25, their all-around game was much better, pushing both teams to 2-1. Nor Cal Crushers (0-2) d. The Borg (0-2) 70-53 Going blow for blow here, this game wasn’t even remotely close. While the quarterback and running games were dead even, that was all The Borg had going right for them (so much for the quest of perfection). The difference in receiving and defense was plenty for Nor Cal to crush (get it: crush, Crushers… okay, no more puns) the Borg better than Jean Luc Picard ever could. Bonecrushers (2-0) d. JC's Juggernauts (1-1) 60-56 ”A constant theme this week is bye week slacking. The Juggernauts continue that with a non existent defensive play and Curtis Martin on a bye. Terrell Owens and the Philadelphia D could put the Bonecrushers over the top.” I’ll go slightly more into detail: both teams lived up to their names. But like Ed said in the process of making my job a little easier, Martin was on a bye, and the Juggernauts’ defense scored 8. Meanwhile, Terrell Owens scored 11 and the Philadelphia D scored 12. So the Bonecrushers are now one of only three undefeated teams (and one of those is with a tie). Thomas Jones and the Seattle Seahawks contributed 58 oints to the cause. Kieth Brooking added 28 points. The X-Cats were led by Chris Brown's 58 points with 47 points from the Denver Broncos defense's 47 points , 19 points from John Carney, 12 points from Jason Taylor and 11 points from Simeon Rice. Sparxs1126(2-1) 375 ValleyGirls(1-2)262 It's the Sparxs Donovan McNabb vs. the Valleygirls Daunte Culpepper. With the Sparxs Preist Holmes hurting it may be up to the recievers to decide this one.McNabb 126 Culpepper 104.I guess Holmes wasn't hurting so badly after all scoring 70 points. 28 points from Mike Alscott helped alot too. Not much from the recievers but 71 points from the Atlanta Falcons defense was nice. 33 points from Ray Lewis and 23 points from Madeui Willams. The Valleygirls got 53 points from the Baltimore Ravens defense. 26 points from Javon Walker. 22 points from Corey Chavous. 21 points from Roy Williams. 15 points from Reggie Wayne and 13 points from Dat Nugyen. A 101-2 advatage propelled the Sparx to victory. boodah25 (3-0)260gaelforce126(1-2) 221 boodah25 is sleeping at the wheel with their starting QB and a reciever on a bye they haven't put in the backup. boodah25 woke up JIT and got in Josh McCown who nearly matched Matt Hasselback 84-85. The defensesive players scored 42 points for them as well. A 90-64 scoring advantage put boodah25 over the top (basically Charlie Garner tearing up his knee finsihed off gaelforce). Paragon571 (1-2) 265Amaizin' Blue (0-3) 219 Just like Charlie Garner's injury did in gaelforce Rich Gannon's injury did in Amazin' Blue as Peyton Manning put up 125 points while Gannon put up only 8 before going down for the count. Edgerrin Jmaes led Amazin' Blue to a 103-97 scoring advantage in the running game and the defense outscored Paragon's 94-26 but they could not overcome the loss of Gannon. The Teal Curtain(3-0) 289NU Cowboys (0-3) 211 The Teal Curtain is sporting big time advantages at quarterback (Arron Brooks over AJ Feeley) 100-52 Brooks. running back (teammates Jamal Lewis and Chester Taylor vs. Fred Taylor and Tyrone Whetley). 89-91. Eh, can't get 'em all. An 82-43 defensive advantage really made the difference. Epsilon Delta (3-0)194Sigmakittens (0-3)145 Both teams have players on bye but the kittens are without DeShaun Foster and Epsilon Delta is only without Mike Vrable. The kittens bigger concern is thier quarterback, the ineffivcinet Byron Leftwich vs. the spectacular Micheal Vick for Epsilon Delta. Leftwich and Vick fought to a virtual standstill. Vick 63 Leftwich 62. But a 86-0 running game advatage for Epsilon Delta did the trick. ryforstek525 (1-2) 254 NorCal Crushers (2-1) 192 ryforstek525 had Eric Moulds on bye and an unemployed player on defense and a backup to the Crushers star running back (Nahjhe Davenport to Ahman Green). Anything from Steve McNair is gravy for the Crushers. From Moulds on a bye to no one. Only outscored 12-10. Davenport was shown the bench and running backs outscored the Crushers 74-62. Kurt Warner outscored McNair 80-63. Defense outscores Crushers D 76-51. ryforstek525 wins. Pelan's Bobcats(2-1) 261Cooney Quest(0-3) 206 The Quest could feed off of the Pack moving the ball alot on the less-than-inspiring Colts D. Besides missing their kicker who is on a bye the Bobocats are also very hurt and will need the Johnsons (Brad and Rudi) to come through for them in a big way. While Farve got 124 points for the Quest they had the wrong reciver on their team as the Packs other recivers (Franks, Driver and Fergeson) get only 11 points. Meanwhile Brad Johnson gets 94 points and Rudi Johnson gets 50 points to go with Shaun Alexander's 59 to get a big win. |
Re: LEAGUE I WEEK II ANALYSIS
Koko's X-Cats (2-1)vs. NorCal Crushers (2-1)
The two teams quarterbacks Chad Pennington for the X-Cats, Jake Dellhome for the Crushers are facing mighty tough defenses so they may not be at their best. It'll probably come down to the X-Cats Chris Brown, Corey Dillon and Travis Henry vs. The Crushers Ahman Green, Lee Suggs (who may still be out) and Stepehn Jackson. Sparxs1126(2-1) Paragon571 (1-2) Preist Holmes may not be as effective for the Sparx this week but Donovan McNabb could continue his hot streak in his return to his hometown. Ironically Paragon 571 could also benefit from McNab's hot hand if he feeds Owens and Manning is nearly as hot so the Sparx should be wary.Paragon571 is missign a defensive player. gaelforce126(1-2) vs.ValleyGirls(1-2) Battle of the byes. gaelforce is missing Matt Hasselback, Keyshawn Johnson Itula Mili and Charlie Garner who was placed on IR this week. The Valleygirls are missing Daunte Culpepper, Roy Willaims, Dat Nugyen and Corey Chavous. So who's left? Clinton Portis of gaelforce is the biggest name here. The Valleygirls hope for big games from Reggie Wayne and Javon Walker again. boodah25 (3-0)vs. Cooney Quest(0-3) The Quest hope the Packer connection finally pays off while boodah hope for big things from Kevan Barlow and Duce Staley. They have boldly decided to sty with Josh McCown at quarterback. NU Cowboys (0-3) vs. Amaizin' Blue (0-3) Well someone has to win... The Cowboys look to Whetley and Fred Taylor to lead them though strangely stuck with the benched AJ Feely at quartback. Amaizin' Blue looks to Edgerrin James , Brain Westbrook and Quentin Griffin to run over the Cowboys. Sigmakittens (0-3) vs. The Teal Curtain(3-0) The best against the worst. The Teal Curtain has Arron Brooks. The Sigmakittens have Byron Leftwich. Advatage Teal Curtain. The Teal Curtian has Jamal Lewis and the rejuvanated Curtis Martin. The Sigmakittens has the underused Willis McGahee, the never used Larry Johnson and DaShaun Foster. Advantage Teal Curtain. The Sigmakittens have Marvin Harrison, Marty Booker andTodd Heap who is out. The Teal Cutain has the disappionting Chris Chambers, LaVerneus Coles, Daniel Graham and Rod Smith. Advatage Teal Curtain (the missing Heap is the difference). It's looking good for the Teal Curtain. ryforstek525 (1-2) vs. Epsilon Delta (3-0) Epsilon Delta must be feeling cocky. They are going at ryforstek525 with one running back (albeit that one running back is LaDanian Thomlinson) but maybe they wont need a second back if all ryforstek525 has the criminally underused Marshall Faulk and the almost never used Antowain Smith.Micheal Vick might get Epsilon Delta over the top against ryforstek525's Kurt Warner. Pelan's Bobcats(2-1) vs. Dunedain (3-0) While both teams wait for their disapointing quarterbacks to step up (Brad Johnson-Pelan's Bobcats and Marc Bulger -Dunedain). The Bobcats have the best running back in Rudi Johnson. Dunedain will see if Micheal Pittman is ready to contribute and hope that Thomas Jones can continue to be productive. |

League II Week 4 Analysis
Koko's X-Cats (2-1) vs. Bonecrushers (3-0)
While the X-Cats are looking for big things from Arron Brooks and Ahman Green the Bonecrushers could get nice points from Terrell Owens and the Philadelphia Eagles defense against the Bears. Rhode Island Charge (1-2) vs. Toronto Phantoms (1-2) This matchup doesn't really come to life til Monday night when Priest Holmes of the Charge and Jamal Lewis of the Phantoms settle it. The Charge are hoping for steady Tom Brady to outplay rookie Ben Rothelsberger to ake care of things before Monday night. South Fl Jets (1-2) vs. [/color]Dunedain (1-2) The Jets are hoping Kyle Boller could have a nice night agianst the KC CHoefs "defense" while Dunedain has Kerry Collins who has stepped in to lead the Raiders. The Jets could have their stud RB LaDanian Thomlinson slowed by the Titans D while Clinton Protis could have a better week for Dunedain running against a battered Browns D. Hurricanes (1-1-1) vs. Cooney Quest (2-1) Brett Farve of the Quest has more help from his running backs than Donovan McNabb does for the 'canes. Teat's because Donovan's running backs are on a bye with no backups in sight. Hearst and Wheatley are needed to put up double digits on the invisble opposition. Will Eric Moulds break out and come through for the 'canes? This Space for Rent(0-3) vs.The Shoats (2-0-1) The Shoats have an injured Dione Branch in which is doubly bad since the Renters have David Givens in who will benfit from Branch's absence. The Atlanta/Carolina game means alot to this game as both teams hope thier quarterbacks lead them to victory. Coco's Monkeys (3-0) vs. Valleygirls (2-1) The league leading Monkey's are without a defensive player and Seattle on a bye. It may not matter with Peyton Manning throwing for him and Steve McNair hurting for the Valleygirls. The Lightning ( 2-1) vs. Stud Man Clan (1-2) The Lightning are doing without Keyshawn Johnson who is on a bye but the Clan are doing without A WHOLE DEFENSE!!! (and Randy Moss too). Chad Pennington and Chris Brown better have a career games today for the Clan or they are basically dead. The Borg (0-3) vs.Philly Cheesesteaks (2-1) The less than inspring QB and WR matchups make this game rather lukewarm but the Borg's Marshal Faulk and Brain Westbrook vs. the Cheesesteak's Doamnick Davis and Duce Staley could turn up the heat. JC's Juggernauts (1-2)vs. Nor Cal Crushers (1-2) Both quarerbacks are going to be under duress all game long. The Juggernauts have a bit of an advantage at running back with DaShaun Foster and Curtis Martin over Fred Taylor and Mike Alscott. The Crushers have the advantage in the recievers (due to the Juggernauts having Daute Hall who is not an every down player and due to limited touches is a limted contributor). |

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
Rhode Island Charge (1-2) d. Toronto Phantoms (1-2)
69-52 First thing’s first: we’re pretty sure the Charge won this time. That being said, “The Charge are hoping for steady Tom Brady to outplay rookie Ben Rothelsberger to take care of things before Monday night.” Which is what actually happened. Rhode Island won here 17-9. I’ll also add that they had the edge in defense with a New York Giants 11. “This matchup doesn't really come to life till Monday night when Priest Holmes of the Charge and Jamal Lewis of the Phantoms settle it.” Rhode Island would’ve won even without Holmes’s 18 on Monday. But things did light up on Toronto’s side, who desperately needed their scores on Monday. This includes their kicker’s 10, Jamal Lewis’s 9, and Ray Lewis’s 6. But with nothing really good on Sunday, The Phantoms fell by the roadside. Bonecrushers (3-0) d. Koko's X-Cats (2-1) 63-22 The first of this week’s three Ouchie Awards went to the X-Cats. With only their kicker scoring better than 4 points (he had 9), you could see where this one was headed. Everybody had a low score at the exact same time. “…the Bonecrushers could get nice points from Terrell Owens and the Philadelphia Eagles defense.” Both of the aforementioned parties tallied 11 points (that’s a tie already). Byron Leftwich finished the deal with 15. South Fl Jets (1-2) d. Dunedain (1-2) 67-17 The second of this week’s Ouchie’s goes to Dunedain, who also had it all fall apart. Their QB scored -11. I should probably refrain from anymore comments about Dunedain. So I’ll comment about the Jets, who killed in the running game. Tomlinson and Bettis combined for 25. They also had the Jets defense (no, really, they did) score 23. Nothing could stop South Florida getting their second win in a row. Cooney Quest (2-1) d. Hurricanes (1-1-1) 33-31 I’ll create a mini-Ouchie Award for this entire game. Four teams this week would’ve beaten these two teams combined. The only actual thing of note this week is covered by Ed already: “Will Eric Moulds break out and come through for the 'Canes?” Yes. He had the high score of this with 12, and the Hurricanes still lost. I suppose we can attribute that to the double byes at RB (though to be fair, the Quest’s RBs had a combined 1). Meanwhile, Cooney’s high score was Vinatieri’s 9. It was, however, enough for them to win. And really, that one in the W column is what matters anyway. The Shoats (2-0-1) d. This Space for Rent (0-3) 67-30 Believe it or not, this game was closer than it looks (follow me here). The Shoats easily made more mistakes than TSfR. They had three 0’s, including one at a WR spot, and one at QB. What made up for these donuts though was Tiki Barber’s 15, Jason Elam’s 13, and 19 from New England. TSfR had everyone contribute. Unfortunately for them, they had no spectacular players this week. And thusly, they are still winless. Valleygirls (2-1) d. Coco's Monkeys (3-0) 61-35 It’s a cataclysmic breakdown! How this happened, we will never know. What we do know is that the Monkey’s had a Peyton Manning 13. But then there was a sea of goose eggs and low scores. With the exception of a 0 in the QB position, The Girls played this one to win. They had a 30 throughout the defensive side, and Emmitt Smith added 15. With a dominate conglomerate (hey, that rhymes) of an offense, and a debilitating defense, the Valleygirls cruised to their third straight win. The Lightning (2-1) vs. Stud Man Clan (1-2) 78-11 Topping of the list of Ouchie’s is the Stud Man Clan. Ed had it correct: “…but the Clan are doing without A WHOLE DEFENSE!!! (and Randy Moss too).” With no career games, we quickly move to The Lightning. Four players would’ve won for them alone. This includes James’s and Andre Johnson’s dual 11s, Rudy Johnson’s 12, and Atlanta’s 20. Simply put, The Lightning had the Clan’s rear ends on a silver platter. The Borg (0-3) d. Philly Cheesesteaks (2-1) 49-46 This game was actually quite interesting, and I believe I can give another psychic point to Ed. “…the Borg's Marshal Faulk and Brain Westbrook vs. the Cheesesteak's Domanick Davis and Duce Staley could turn up the heat.” It wasn’t exactly heatful (another Eddieism), but it did decide the game. Davis and Staley both put up large circles for Philly. While their K and DEF both put up 14, they couldn’t put up numbers anywhere else. For the Borg, Faulk and Westbrook combined for 15, and their kicker scored 10. Everything else was pretty even, making this possibly the best pound-for-pound matchup of the week. In the end though, The Borg assimilated their first victim of the year. JC's Juggernauts (1-2) d. Nor Cal Crushers (1-2) 60-36 The underrated Juggernauts looked to right their wrongs (which lately have been in the form of close losses) against the also 1-2 Nor Cal Crushers. The Juggernauts power came from the running game, outscoring the opposition 23-1 in that department. The Crushers only had two 10s with nothing else to brag about. The Juggernauts didn’t have anything truly spectacular either. However, as last year showed us, the teams with players who compliment each other tend to win. And that is exactly what the Juggernauts did. The McNabb/Manning battle was a virual standstill with McNabb winning out 88-80. ValleyGirls(2-2)261 gaelforce126(1-3) 110 gaelforce did themselves in starting so many missing players and Clinton Portis scored 46 points. There was some nice scoring fromt he defense and that was it. Trent Green outscored the Cowboys. Move along folks, nothing to see here.... The Teal Curtain(4-0)261Sigmakittens (0-4) 200 The Teal Curtain has Arron Brooks. The Sigmakittens have Byron Leftwich. Advatage Teal Curtain. Corection. Leftwich outscores Brooks 102-83. The Teal Curtian has Jamal Lewis and the rejuvanated Curtis Martin. The Sigmakittens has the underused Willis McGahee, the never used Larry Johnson and DaShaun Foster. Advantage Teal Curtain. Got this one right. The Curtain wins 102-48. The Sigmakittens have Marvin Harrison, Marty Booker and Todd Heap who is out. The Teal Cutain has the disappionting Chris Chambers, LaVerneus Coles, Daniel Graham and Rod Smith. Advatage Teal Curtain (the missing Heap is the difference). Both quartbacks accounted well for themselves with Bulger winning 64-59. The Bobcats have the best running back in Rudi Johnson. Who scored 50. Dunedain will see if Micheal Pittman is ready to contribute and hope that Thomas Jones can continue to be productive. Jones scored 29. Pittman scored 33 but Leonard Henry came out of nowhere to net 40. Dunedain wins. |
LEAGUGE 1 WEEK V ANALYSIS
Koko's X-Cats (2-2)vs. Epsilon Delta (3-1)
Epsilon Delta still hasn't found another running back to compliment LaDainian Thomlinson who not only has to take on Corey Dillon, Travis Henry and Chris Brown but also while he's trying to run on the tough Jaguars run defense. Micheal Vick will have to outpreform Chad Pennington for Epsilon Delta to win. Sparxs1126(2-2) vs.[ NU Cowboys (0-4) Since the Cowboys insist on using the benched AJ Feely they need Tyrone Wheatley and Fred Taylor to outduel Priest Holmes for the Cowboys to have any chance at all. gaelforce126(1-3) vs.Paragon571 (2-2) The Matt Hasselback/Peyton Manning battle is a nice one but gaelforce isn't doing themselves any favors by having two players on a bye(though Chris Perry doesn't play anyways). The Tiki Barber/Emmit Smith combo try to defeat Clinton Portis and that could be the deciding factor. boodah25 (4-0)vs. ValleyGirls(2-2) Josh McCown aint no Daunte Culpepper but I'll take Duce Staley and Kevan Barlow over Troy Hambrik and Ron Dayne any day. Sigmakittens (0-4)vs. Amaizin' Blue (1-3) Has Byron Leftwich turned the corner? The kitties hope so because they aren't going to win with DaShaun Foster and Willis McGahee starting at running back. Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison need to have big days. Amazin' Blue is hoping Kerry Collins will just stop being such a turnover machine. ryforstek525 (2-2) vs. The Teal Curtain(4-0) The Curtain gets to keep Jamal Lewis for one more week before he is suspended and Curtis martin could have a big day. Warner, Faulk and Dunn need to immitate last weeks success to help ryforstek525 pull off the upset. Pelan's Bobcats(2-2) vs.NorCal Crushers (3-1) McNair is hurting but Brad Johnson may be benched(McNair plays better when he's hurt anyways and it is against the weak Packers D). Rudi Johnson, Zack Crockett, TJ Duckett have to outperform Ahamn Green, Lee Suggs and Stepehen Jackson for the Bobcats to beat the Crushers. Dunedain (4-0) vs. Cooney Quest(0-4) The main question is will the Quest get ANYTHING from anyone who is not a Packer on this roster? |
League II Week V Analysis
Koko's X-Cats (2-2) vs. Dunedain (1-3)
A battle of a couple of turnover prone quarterbacks Aaron Brooks vs. Kerry Collins) and a pair of underacheiving running backs(Ahman Green vs. Clinton Portis). Whoever gets their act togehter will most likely win. Rhode Island Charge (2-2) vs.Hurricanes (1-2-1) While the Canes are doing without a back on their roster the Charge basically have no one at all(Holmes is on a bye and Morton barely plays). Not sure if Voleck will play for the canes neither. This could be a rather low scoring affair. South Fl Jets (2-2) vs. Toronto Phantoms (1-3) The Phantoms have Jamal Lewis for one more week before he's suspended and will need him as long as Bettis keeps scoring from the 1 and LaDanian Thomlinson keeps being LaDanian Thomlinson. Not to mention Rothelberger going up against Matt Hasselback. This Space for Rent(0-4) vs.Cooney Quest (3-1) The Renters might finally have a team they can outdo at the running back (Aaron Stecker and MIA Moe Williams vs.rarely used Ron Dayne and the unused Garrison Hearst. Farve vs. Vick is a showcase event though. Coco's Monkeys (3-1) vs.The Shoats (3-0-1) A good matchup marred by the monkey's doing without defensive players and a punt returning running back. It also doesn't help that their starting quarterback feeding the Shoats wide recivers Harrison and Wayne. The Lightning ( 3-1) vs. Valleygirls (3-1) The Valleygirls are missing a runningback and I don't know if Emmit Smith can outpreform Edgerrin James anymore. McNair can outdo Bulger though. The Borg (1-3) vs. Stud Man Clan (1-3) The Borg have no defense (literally) as they are all on a bye and so is their running back Westbrook. The Clan are just missing one defensive player who they never had in the first place. They do ave Chad Pennington who gets a free shot at the possibly benched Brad Johnson. JC's Juggernauts (2-2)vs.Philly Cheesesteaks (2-2) Can the rejuvinated Kurt Warner help the Juggernauts outdo the Cheesesteak's Daunte Culpepper. Curtis Martin and Dashaun Foster may need to take up the slack and hope that the Cheesesteak's Domanic Davis is too hurt to make a difference and the Duce keeps deffering 1 yard TDs to Bettis. Bonecrushers (4-0) vs. Nor Cal Crushers (1-3) The Bonecrushers are trying to beat the Crushers with one hand tied behind their back (or more like two players on a bye. Two BIG TIME player in Terrell Ownes and the Philadelphia Eagles defense). Will it be Byron Leftwich to the Bonecrushers rescue or will the Crushers Mark Brunell come through? |

Luckily, I have the second highest fantasy score, so even with a low score this week, I'll still be pretty good when it comes to tiebreakers later on (although I'd rather have the W to back it up). Especially when I have both Brady and Holmes working for me next week. But this week, it'll come down to luck for me. |
Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
I look forward to seeing the high point totals everyone put up this week especially with great performances from a lot of players.
I put up big numbers this week in my high performance scoring 12 team league with pts per catch. Culpepper - 48 Jimmy Smith - 19 Darrell Jackson - 20 Plaxico Burress - 25 Tomlinson - 22 Tiki Barber - 30 Droughns - 30 Eric Johnson - 35 John Carney - 6 Pittsburgh - 0 235 Pts...oh yeah! |
Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league
Ooh, guess what happened: my receivers came through! They each scored a TD. My defense held its own as well (although Ed Reed's 17 from the bench is going to haunt me for a couple nights). Of course, Tom Brady decided not to pass much yesterday, although I got 2 TDs (and an INT... not so good) from him. Then I realize that Drew Brees (of all people) outscored Brady, also from my bench. I'm currently up by 31, however the 'Canes have their two defenders and their defensive team going tonight. How will that turn out? Well, I'm watching tonight hoping that Green Bay scores a lot on Tennessee.

Week V Postgame Analysis
You know something's up when a team scores 80, and it's the fourth-best score of the week. That's right, we had four scores in the 80s, all of them radically altering the standings this week. Game-by-game:
Rhode Island Charge (2-2) d. Hurricanes (1-2-1) 53-38 This game would’ve been closer if the Hurricanes had a QB who actually played. As it stands, they bested the Charge in running 13-2 (and with Priest Holmes on a bye, it’s probably the only time someone will get the better of Rhode Island in the running game). But the Charge’s receivers picked up the slack with dual 8s, compared to a combined 7 by the Hurricanes. Defensive teams matched up quite evenly, however, the rest of the Charge's defense bested the opponent’s 10-3. This was the story of the game. Koko's X-Cats (2-2) d. Dunedain (1-3) 58-31 “A battle of a couple of turnover prone quarterbacks (Aaron Brooks vs. Kerry Collins)…” Yeah… Kerry Collins got picked three times, leaving him a single 1 point on his tab for Dunedain. Brooks outdid that by 10. With an even defense (the X-Cats won that 22-21), we move to receiving, where Dunedain had nothing going. Meanwhile, the Cats had Antonio Gates scoring 16 of their WR’s combined 23. And that was just too debilitating for Dunedain. South Fl Jets (2-2) d. Toronto Fumblers (1-3) 57-43 With a name change, Toronto looks to right their four game streak in the L column. But they chose the wrong name, with Fumblers being quite descriptive again this week. The only thing Toronto had to smile about was probable Rookie of the Year candidate Ben Roethlisberger, who scored 13. And even then, South Florida had Matt Hasselbeck scoring 16. Even though the Jets really didn’t have a defense due to byes, they made up for it with a pair of 11s by Thomlinson and Lloyd. It would be enough to pull them to their third straight win. Cooney Quest (3-1) d. This Space for Rent (0-4) 42-38 “Favre vs. Vick is a showcase event though.” This should’ve been true. Even though Farve had a sub par 9 for Cooney, TSfR had its star scoring -4 points. Had they benched him, they would’ve tied. As it stands, both running and receiving games were even (albeit low). TSfR even won defense 23-21, and kicking 11-5. But the aforementioned slump in the QB slot made TSfR still win-searching. The Shoats (3-0-1) d. Coco's Monkeys (3-1) 71-63 “A good matchup marred by the Monkeys doing without defensive players.” The first of two really awesome matchups actually came down to those two byes on defense. We’ll start with the good: the Monkeys’ Manning scored 18, and the Shoats’ Delhomme nabbed 15. The Monkeys even won the running game 17-15. With receiving and kicking literally dead even, The Shoats prevailed in defense with 22. With the two byes for the Monkeys, they couldn’t hope to match that, and thusly, lost their second straight. Valleygirls (3-1) d. The Lightning (3-1) 87-84 This was clearly the match of the week. What makes it interesting is that it wasn’t even remotely close until the Monday night game. This is where the Valleygirls’ Walker tallied 14, and McNair had a 17. And it’s not like this was the only good thing that happened for the Girls; Baltimore got them a 26 on Sunday, keeping them in contention for Monday. Of course, if you’re wondering if anything went wrong with the Lightning, you won’t find it. Simply put, they were also perfect. This includes excellent scores by Edgerrin James (12), Andre Johnson (20), and Marc Bulger (21). This was a tough draw for the Lightning, causing them their second loss of the year. Stud Man Clan (1-3) d. The Borg (1-3) 80-18 I believe this qualifies as the most lopsided game of the season. The Borg: Plaxico Burress with a 12. Having six zeroes, the game was quickly over. While I should end here, the Stun Man Clan’s 80 coming from a 1-3 team is simply too astounding not to talk about. With everybody (minus the empty defense slot) scoring, including Chris Brown’s 20 (on that same Monday night effort which led the Valleygirls to victory), Moss’s 16, and their kicker’s 11, The Clan easily amassed their second win of the season. Philly Cheesesteaks (2-2) d. JC's Juggernauts (2-2) 84-43 While slightly less lopsided, after the Juggernauts outdoing Philly in defense, this game was just as over as the previous game. The main force of the Cheesesteaks was Daunte Culpepper’s league-high 38. Behind him was a running game worth 19. Everybody contributed on the Cheesesteaks (and contributed pretty well), giving them the fourth above 80 score this week. Nor Cal Crushers (1-3) d. Bonecrushers (4-0) 43-40 This game should’ve gone to the Bonecrushers. But they had three zeros (two from byes) from players who have been carrying them the past four weeks. While Byron Leftwich scored 14, the absences practically handed the game to Nor Cal’s 17 in defense and Darrell Jackson’s 10. The Crushers also had everyone playing, excelling them to a second victory. In fact, as of week 5, three of the 3-2 teams (Philly, Lightning, and R.I.) have higher scores than all the 4-1 teams (Girls, BCrushers, and Cooney), and two of those 3-2 teams (Plilly and Lightning) have a higher fantasy score than the first place Shoats. Also, the 4-1 Quest have the third worst fantasy score. Will that effect them in the future? Well, until next week... |

Sparxs1126(3-2) 179NU Cowboys (0-5) 86 Another dud from the Cowboys who did manage to score six more points than they did last week. Fred Taylor scored 27 points and the Dallas Cowboys defense scored 35 but Sparx defense outscored them 95-62. Paragon571 (3-2)295gaelforce126(1-4) 178 gaelforce126 got 83 points from Matt Masselback and 52 points from Clinton Portis and not much else from anybody else. Manning practically nuetralizes Hasselback's game with an effective 74 points and Paragon571's running backs Emmit Smith and TIki Barber combine for 102 points to outduel Portis. The defense added 92 points to make it a slaughter. ValleyGirls(3-2)341 boodah25 (4-1)294 The Valleygirls basically stopped boodah25's win streak cold with their nmber one weapon Daunte Culpepper whi scored an amazing 167 points to go with the Baltimore Ravens defense's 78 points. Josh McCown is surprising me with a respecatable 89 points for boodah25. Duce Staley added 53 pooints and Kevan Barlow added 30. Ronde Barber added 50 and Andre Johnson added 20 and that still wasn't enough. Amaizin' Blue (2-3)269Sigmakittens (0-5) 233 The Sigmakittens keep getting close. Byron Leftwich explodes for 141 points and somehow the incompitent Kerry Collins gets 102 points to keep it close. Edgerrin James leads the running backs with 76 points for a 85-28 advatage for Amazin' Blue and the win. The Teal Curtain(5-0)285ryforstek525 (2-3) 247 ryforstek525 was battling the league leading Curtain with their quarterback Kurt Warner taking his matchup against Tom Brady 75-43. The running backs battled to a near standstill (112-102 with Antowain Smith getting a TD during garbage time to help ryforstek525 out) but then the defense blew up big time for the Teal Cutain led by that madman Ed Reed(58 points all no doubt earned on one amazig play) 103-42(such things happen when you use a defense on a bye) Game over. NorCal Crushers (4-1) 225Pelan's Bobcats(2-3) 110 Seven zeros. Gooseeggs. zilch. Nada. That is what the Bobcat's had going for them far too often last weekend from having players on a bye to sticking with a benched QB. If Shaun Alexander didn't score 59 and the Tampa Bay D score 37 it would have been real ugly. Steve McNair got 76 points to lead the Crushers to an easy victory. Dunedain (5-0) 316 Cooney Quest(0-5) 164 Of the 164 points the Quest got 144 belonged to Packers. MArc Bulger's nutso 4th quarter nearly equalled that with his 110 point output. |

Daunte Culpepper is now my number one enemy, not only in this league did he beat me, but in my two other leagues the two teams with him took the lead away from me.

LEAGUGE 1 WEEK VI ANALYSIS
Koko's X-Cats (3-2)vs.The Teal Curtain(5-0)
All of the X-Cats backs are hurting while the Teal Curtain have another find with Mewelde Moore . Both the X-Cats Pennington and the Teal Curtain's Brooks should do well though Pennington has more potential aginst the depleted (and demoralized) Niners defensive backfield. Sparxs1126(3-2) vs.Sigmakittens (0-5) The Kitties have been close but leaving a starting RB position blank. McGahee might not even start or play. Leftwich has been playing much better recently for the Kitties but6 he's no Donovan McNabb. gaelforce126(1-4) vs.NU Cowboys (0-5) This is the FF equivalent of this week's Bills/Dolphins game (you don't realize how painful it is for this Bills fan to say that). I'm beginning to think the Cowboys have been abandoned by thier owner as they have shown no responsible roster management in the past few weeks and I hope the league commisoner steps in and fixes the problem. gaelforce126 has not been much better but has been more competitive and should be back on the winning track this week. boodah25 (4-1)vs.Paragon571 (3-2) The red hot Paragon571 is looking to continue their hot streak against a very tough boodah25 team. Both teams feature shaky quarterbacks (Drew Bledsoe for boodah25 and Carson Palmer for Paragon571). boodah25 has better running back and that matchup is the key to them achieving victory. Paragon571's sleeper is the play of their defense as the sneaky Patriots defense specializes in getting points producing turnovers. ValleyGirls(3-2) vs. Cooney Quest(0-5) So which is worse? Using a kick returner for your only runningback or using barely used or barely producing running backs. The Valleygirls could probably get away with using poor runningbacks so long as Daunte Culpepper is around. The Quest is still looking for anything form anyone who is not a Green Bay Packer. ryforstek525 (2-3) vsAmaizin' Blue (2-3) Two teams meeting each other going in opposite directions. Amaizin' Blue has been getting it done in the past two weeks while ryforstek525 has been struggling recently. They certainly did no favors with starting QB Kurt Warner and starting WR Amani Toomer out on a bye. Thier best hope is the Philadelphia Eagles defense and Marshall Faulk. Brian Westbrook may be all Amazin' Blue need this week. Pelan's Bobcats(2-3) vs.Epsilon Delta (3-2) Epsilon Delta is rapidly fading out due to poor roster mangement and it really shows this week with not only the big blank in the other starting running back spot but also with four players on a bye. The Bobcats are still going with the benched and disgruntled Brad Johnson but they still have Shaun Alexnader and that may be enough. Dunedain (5-0) vs.NorCal Crushers (4-1) This looks like the game of the week. Dunedain is looking for big games from Terrell Owens, Antonio Gates and Duece McCallister. The Crushers look to counter with McNair, Ahamn Green (who may be the most dissapointing FF player this season) and a motivated Chad Johnson (who is making promises again this week). The sleeper matchup this week that may be the deciding factor is the two defenses. |
League II Week VI Analysis
Koko's X-Cats (3-2) vs. Toronto Fumblers (1-4)
Toronto may be now called the fumblers but the X-Cats have the champion fumbler on their roster in Ahman Green who has been nothing short of an absolute dissapiontment this season and Arron Brooks is pretty good at putting the ball on the turf as well. Can rookie Ben Rothelberger keep up the good play for the Fumblers? Rhode Island Charge (3-2) vs.This Space for Rent(0-5) Is this the week the Renters break through? The Charge are missing a defense and though the Charge have the great Priest Holmes the Renters could win the matchup if Thomas Jones and Mewelde Moore perform. South Fl Jets (3-2) vs. Hurricanes (1-3-1) A couple of primo matchups at quarterback and running back as the Jets bring Matt Hasselback and LaDanian Thomlinson against Donovan McNabb and Shaun Alexander. The recivers may settle this with the boasting Chad Johnson garunteeing big things for the Jets against Eric Moulds and Issac Bruce for the Canes. Dunedain (1-4) vs.Bonecrushers (4-1) Dunedain is forced to settle for Jonathan Quinn against a resurgent Byron Leftwich. The hope for Dunedain is that Clinton Portis can start making plays. Can Roy Williams and Tony Gonzales outduel Terell Ownes and Laverneous Coles of the Bonecrushers. Coco's Monkeys (3-2) vs.Cooney Quest (4-1) Strangely the Packer relliance is working for them in this league. Probably because they are getting production from the non-Packers on the team. The Monkeys hope Vinny Testeverde can match Brett Farve. Corey Dillon may help the monkey's pull through. The Lightning ( 3-2) vs. The Shoats (4-0-1) The league leading Shoats are in trouble this week as Tiki Barber and Reggie Wayne are on a bye and they will have to depend on the Patriots defense and Jake Delohme. Marc Bulger and Rudi Johnson could make it easy for the Lightning this week if they perfom like they are supposed to. The Borg (1-4) vs. Valleygirls (4-1) The Valleygirls are without three players who are on a bye including the Baltimore Ravens defense. The Borg are without one player on a bye who was injured in the first place (Todd Heap) and a benched QB Brad Johnson. So who's here who can contribute? The Borg have Brain Westbrook and Marshall Faulk and the Valleygirls have Steve McNair. JC's Juggernauts (2-3)vs.Stud Man Clan (2-3) The Clan have the advantage at quarterback with Chad Pennington feeding on a depleted Niners secondary while Brain Griese still has to prove himself. The running back battle with the Juggernauts Reuben Droughns and Curtis Martin vs. the Clans Kevan Barlow and Chris Brown. Nor Cal Crushers (2-3) vs.Philly Cheesesteaks (3-2) The Cheesesteaks possess the amazing Daunte Culpepper. They also have Domanic Davis and Duce Staley who are in better shape than the Crushers RB combo of Travis Henry and Fred Taylor. The Crushers have the more productive recivers with Jimmy Smith and Darell Jackson over kick returner Michael Lewis and Doug Gabriel . |

Week VI Post Game Analysis
Wow... Cooney broke 90. What I said last week about them is less true now. Review:
This Space for Rent (0-5) d. Rhode Island Charge (3-2) 77-45 “Is this the week the Renters break through? The Charge are missing a defense, and though the Charge have the great Priest Holmes, the Renters could win the matchup if Thomas Jones and Mewelde Moore perform.” Right on from the start. If Rhode Island was fully charged, they may have stood a chance. But TSfR’s aforementioned players, along with a 20 from Vick and an 18 from Buffalo, put this game out of reach for the Charge. Toronto Fumblers (1-4) d. Koko's X-Cats (3-2) 65-56 If you look at each of the scoring categories, this game was pretty close. Their quarterbacks had 15 each. The running game was less spectacular, but ended with the Cats taking it 11-9. Then we switch things around to receiving, where Toronto won by 4. The X-Cats tried to make a last stand with its kicker, outscoring the opponent’s by 5, but it ended there, with the Fumbler’s defense scoring 24 (12 more than Koko). A surprising lack of fumbles stops Toronto’s landslide with a win. South Fl Jets (3-2) d. Hurricanes (1-3-1) 50-29 How are the Jets winning four in a row? This game is a good example. Granted, the Hurricanes are low on the scoring list (Shaun Alexander was their only player to hit double digits for them this week), but the Jets still showed us how it's done. First off, Jerome Bettis keeps making touchdowns from the one yard line. Consistency. He gets supplemented by LaDanian Thomlinson. Add a 10 from one of his receivers. Then there’s the Jets defense (no, I mean it, they have the NY Jets as their defensive team), which on its good days, will provide the rest of what South Florida needs. That’s four straight for them. Bonecrushers (4-1) d. Dunedain (1-4) 74-55 Believe it or not, the Bonecrushers were not at their top form. But not to worry, they had Byron Leftwich’s 27 and Philadelphia’s 21. Dunedain was at its top form too, with Tony Gonzalez and Derrick Brooks each nabbing 10. But when their quarterback scored -1, you knew it was over. Cooney Quest (4-1) d. Coco's Monkeys (3-2) 93-56 Okay, I take back everything bad I ever said about Cooney Quest. “Strangely the Packer reliance is working for them in this league.” Um, YEAH! Let’s name them: Brett Favre (17), Donald Driver (17), and Green Bay (13). That’s 47 right there. Torry Holt added 18, and Adam Vinatieri tallied 13. Not much else happened, but really, how much more do you need? That’s five straight. The Lightning (3-2) d. The Shoats (4-0-1) 41-25 Wow… you know, for two of the higher scoring teams in the league, this was a snooze-fest. High for The Shoats: New England with 10. Highs for The Lightning: Marc Bulger with 11 and Keyshawn Johnson with 9. Highs of this entire game: not much, really. Maybe the fact that The Shoats had two important players on byes. Nonetheless, we’ve lost our last undefeated team. The Borg (1-4) d. Valleygirls (4-1) 43-13 I’ll go out in say it: the Valleygirls had a cataclysmic collapse due to 3 important players on byes. Meanwhile, The Borg weren’t much better (although how good do you have to be to beat 13), but they delivered when they needed to. In fact, their running game of 19 would’ve won on its own. The Valleygirls get assimilated for the first time since week one. JC's Juggernauts (2-3) d. Stud Man Clan (2-3) 81-39 Just when you think the Juggernauts are on a freefall to the basement, they pull an 81 out of their bag. I’ll start with their running game worth 32. Brian Griese helped with a 14 on the scoreboard. Even their defense was solid, pitching in 27. All the Clan had was Randy Moss’s 10. The Juggernauts proved to be unstoppable this week. Philly Cheesesteaks (3-2) d. Nor Cal Crushers (2-3) 71-51 “The Cheesesteaks possess the amazing Daunte Culpepper.” 33. That outscored the Crushers’ QB by 18. The kicker also had 14. While Nor Cal’s running game of 12 was drastically better than Philly’s, they couldn’t hold up anywhere else. This makes Philly 4-2. Definately the barely productive back. Willaim Green scored 55 points. There was nothing for the Valleygirls running game. The Valleygirls could probably get away with using poor runningbacks so long as Daunte Culpepper is around. Culpepper scored 135 points. More than half of the Valleygirl's total. Micheal Vick almost carried Epsilon Delta to victory along with LaDanain Thomlinson weho scored 55. Shaun Alexnader led a balanced attack 42 points, the Tampa Bay Bucs D got 40, Rudi Johnson got 34, 22 points from both Landon Johnson and TJ Duckett, and 16 points from Deltha O' Neal (apparently they don't penalize you for giving up 99 yard TD passes). Not spetacular but enough to squeeze out the win. LEAGUGE 1 WEEK VII ANALYSIS
Koko's X-Cats (3-3)vsAmaizin' Blue (3-3) The running game is the main event of this matchup. If Amos Zeroue can perform for the X-Cats they could take this matchup. If not the talented stable of backs for the Amaizin' Blue can lead them to victory.
Sparxs1126(3-3) vs.ryforstek525 (2-4) McNabb and Holmes will be looked to again to lead the Sparx back to the road to victory. ryforstek525 depends on Kurt Warner, MArshall Faulk and the Philadelphia Eagles defense to win. gaelforce126(2-4) vs. Sigmakittens (1-5) gaelforce126 is missing both Hines Ward and Clinton Portis who are on a bye this week opening up the possiblity of an easy victory for the sigmakittens even without Randy Moss. boodah25 (4-2)vs.NU Cowboys (0-6) Total role reversal here. The Cowboys nearly have all the bases covered (still using the benched AJ Feeley but who knows when the Dolphins will turn to him again). boodah25 is missing both running backs and Andre Johnson is on a bye. The Cowboys could break through this week. ValleyGirls(3-3) vs. Paragon571 (4-2) Paragon571 is red hot and so long as Manning and Barber are producing they are in real good shape. Daunte Culpepper is equally hot but the Valleygirls running backs are not up to par. Pelan's Bobcats(3-3) vs.The Teal Curtain(6-0) Curtis Martin could have a big day agianst the Patriots and continue the Teal Curtain's winning ways. The sleper isd Burelson. The Bobcats put thier hopes for victory on three backs TJ Duckett, Shaun Alexander and Rudi Johnson. Dunedain (6-0) vs.Epsilon Delta (3-3) Dunedain could be let sown by Marc Bulger who may not get his yards against the very tough Miami Dolphins pass defense but Sammy Morris could get him points in the same game for the Dolphins. Epsilon Delta still contines commiting the same sin by leaving the running back postion hobbled with one back but they have the spetacular LaDanian Thomlinson and Micheal Vick to hopefully lead them back to winning ways. NorCal Crushers (4-2) vs.Cooney Quest(1-5) Not sure how well William Green will do for the Quest this week but the Pack may score alot of points for the Quest against the Cowboys. The Crushers may get alot of points from Stephen Jackson who is the type of back who kills the Dolphins. Not to mention Ahman Green may do some damage against the 'Boys as well ironically damaging the Packer relaint Cooney Quest. |
Re: League II Week VII Analysis
Koko's X-Cats (3-3) vs. Hurricanes (1-4-1)
The Canes need big things from Donovan McNabb to beat out the X-Cats because they can't realistically expect anything from Chris Perry. The X-Cats are hoping for good production from Amos Zeroue to win out. Rhode Island Charge (3-3) vs.Coco's Monkeys (3-3) Manning and Dillon lead the Monkeys against the Charge who look to Preist Holmes and Willis McGahee. BJ Sams for the Monkeys is an interesting slleper. South Fl Jets (4-2) vs. This Space for Rent(1-5) Micheal Vick could go to town for the Renters against the Chiefs D but is it enough to overcome Matt Hasselback and Priest Holmes? Thomas Jones and Mewelde Moore could help te Renters out. Will Chad Johnson bother to make plays instead of sending Pepto to opposing D's for the Jets? Dunedain (1-5) vs Toronto Fumblers (2-4) Going with the inneffective Jonothan Quinn is not exactly an inspiring thing for Dunedain but Sammy Morris could have nice production against the soft Rams underbelly. The Fumblers have no one player who really sticks out but good steady prodction from all of them could be enough to win. The Lightning ( 4-2) vs.Cooney Quest (5-1) The Quest have backups in at the running back position and the Lightning have Rudi Johnson and Edgerrin James on their side. Brett Farve to the rescue! The Lightning could be disaapionted by Marc Bulger's production this week. The Borg (2-4) vs. The Shoats (4-1-1) The Borg could be conceding victory by starting a benched Brad Johnson and the on vacation Plaxico Burress. Tiki Barber could do the damage the the Borgs hopes. JC's Juggernauts (3-3) vs. Valleygirls (4-2) The resurgent Kurt Warner and Curtis Martin and the surprising Reuben Droughns lead the Juggernauts. The Valleygirls are going with the struggling Joey Harrington. The Ravens D could be a significant contributor for them today. Nor Cal Crushers (2-4) vs.Stud Man Clan (2-4) Teh Clan have basically doomed themselves to defeat by leaving a roster spot blank and starting two players on a bye. Tent Green or Fred Taylor could lead the Crushers to victory. Philly Cheesesteaks (4-2) vs. Bonecrushers (5-1) The Bonecrushers are setting themselves up for a fall by missing a pair of players. The Cheesesteaks have Daunte Culpepper and you want a full roster when facing him. |

What I'm afraid of is that the Monkeys have had three tough losses (I mean really, who in their right mind would've predicted Conney scoring 93?). I'm sure this one will be close either way, and it may end on Monday. Oh, and I'm personally proud of my Willis McGahee acquirance. :D |

I love my two teams contrast, in The FIRST Robotics League Cooney Quest is 6-1 and all alone in first place, so ha to all you non believers in that league.
However, in FIRST Robotics Cooney Quest is 1-6 and sitting near the bottom, oh well...can't win them all :) |

Sparxs1126(4-3) 346 ryforstek525 (3-4) 273 McNabb and Holmes will be looked to again to lead the Sparx back to the road to victory. ryforstek525 depends on Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk and the Philadelphia Eagles defense to win. WHile the McNabb/ Holmes combo outscored the Warner/ Faulk/Eagles combb 198- 161 what really put the Sparx over the top was the 100 points the Sparx got from their defense. gaelforce126(2-5) vs. Sigmakittens (2-5) gaelforce126 is missing both Hines Ward and Clinton Portis who are on a bye this week opening up the possiblity of an easy victory for the sigmakittens even without Randy Moss. And an easy victory it was. The main story is 4-1. That's how many zeroes gaelforce put up compared to the kitties (Moss of course). Byron Leftwich nearly did the job himself. boodah25 (5-2)vs.NU Cowboys (0-7) Total role reversal here. The Cowboys nearly have all the bases covered (still using the benched AJ Feeley but who knows when the Dolphins will turn to him again). boodah25 is missing both running backs and Andre Johnson is on a bye. The Cowboys could break through this week. Wow. Somebody placed a curse on the Cowboys. Outside of Fred Taylor's 48 points the Cowboys got little or nothing from their roster, most surprisingly a big fat zero from Torry Holt. boodah25's 93 points from the defense was more than enough. Paragon571 (5-2)336 ValleyGirls(3-4) 234 Paragon571 is red hot and so long as Manning and Barber are producing they are in real good shape. Daunte Culpepper is equally hot but the Valleygirls running backs are not up to par. Manning and Culpepper had an epic battle with Manning winning 109-94. THe running backs were a VERY different story with Paragon's running backs crushing the Valleygirls running backs 156-20. The Teal Curtain(7-0)263Pelan's Bobcats(3-4) 259 Man, was this one close. The Bobcats got 93 points from the Cincinatti Bengals on Monday night and needed 98 to win. Arron Brooks 89 points over Brain Griese's 61 points saved the Teal Curtain. Dunedain (7-0) vs.Epsilon Delta (3-4) Dunedain could be let down by Marc Bulger who may not get his yards against the very tough Miami Dolphins pass defense but Sammy Morris could get him points in the same game for the Dolphins. Epsilon Delta still contines commiting the same sin by leaving the running back postion hobbled with one back but they have the spetacular LaDanian Thomlinson and Micheal Vick to hopefully lead them back to winning ways. In spite of the Ram's pathetic effort Bulger got 95 points but Sammy Morris did lead the running backs to a 132-40 victory and an easy cruise to victory for Dunedain. NorCal Crushers (5-2) 268Cooney Quest(1-6)200 The 102-49 advantage for the Crushers was the main difference with the Quest ironically being done in by Ahman Green in particular. |
Re: LEAGUGE 1 WEEK VII ANALYSIS
Koko's X-Cats (3-4)vsSparxs1126(4-3)
Basically it comes down to Priest Holmes vs. the X-Cats trio of running backs Brown, Dillon (who's hurting) and Zeroue. The Chiefs/Colts game weighs very heavily in this matchup. gaelforce126(2-5) vs.ryforstek525 (2-5) gaelforce126 is showing up with a full roster for the first time in weeks while ryforstek525 has both Gramatica and Faulk on a bye and that could hurt if gaelforce126 had any running backs of note (which they don't) and how much is really settled by the kickers? It'll probably come down to who has the better game. Matt Hasselback for gaelforce126 or Jurt Warner for ryforstek525. boodah25 (5-2) vs. Sigmakittens (2-5) The kitties are on a roll and with the emerging Willis McGahee on their side they could be a dangerous opponent for boodah25 who are depnding on Kevan Barlow and Domanic Davis to come through for them this week. ValleyGirls(3-4) vs.NU Cowboys (0-7) The Cowboys insist on starting the benched AJ Feely instead of Joey Harrington and Torry Holt is on a bye (he was basically on one last week). With Daunte Culpepper on the Valleygirls roster the Cowboys need all the help they could get. [color=DarkOrchid]Cooney Quest(1-6)[/COLORvs.Paragon571 (5-2) Paragon571 is red hot and Manning is getting to feast on the less-than-inspring Chiefs defense while Cooney Quest is without William Green. Richie Anderson is not enough to take on Tiki Barber and Thomas Jones. Pelan's Bobcats(3-4) vs.Amaizin' Blue (4-3) Another game that leans heavily on the running game. It's Rudi Johnson, TJ Duckett and Shaun Alexander for the Bobcats vs. Reuben Droughns, Edgerring James and Brain Westbrook (who has cracked ribs and probably won't play). Will Kerry Collins not kill the Bobcats hopes? Dunedain (7-0) vs.The Teal Curtain(7-0) GAME OF THE YEAR!!! Dunedain is doing without Stepehen Davis (again) while the Curtain have the one two punch of Mewelde Moore and Curtis Martin. Retread Dorsey Levins may not be enough to take that matchuip so where does Dunedain find hope? Terell Owens and Antonio Gates are a good start. NorCal Crushers (5-2) vs. Epsilon Delta (3-4) Epsilon Delta has fallen off the map and until they start using the other running back it'll continue. Micheal Vicks painful struggles with the West Coast offense is also hurting them. The Crushers are making it easier for Epsilon Dleta by having Lee Suggs on a bye and having to start Billy Voleck so Epsilon Delta does have a chance. |
Week VII Postgame Analysis
Coco's Monkeys (3-3) d. Rhode Island Charge (3-3)
84-54 What happens when you bench Tom Brady and Chris Chambers? You get Rhode Island’s week 7 bumble. The good news is that Priest Holmes tacked on 29. The bad news is that there was nothing else to tack on to. Had Brady and Chambers been left in, the Charge would be 4-3. Instead, with the help of Peyton Manning’s 25 and Seattle’s 14, the Monkeys get that 4-3 record. Koko's X-Cats (3-3) vs. Hurricanes (1-4-1) 71-65 This one had to be the best game of the week. McNabb pulled through for the Hurricanes with 29. The kicker also had a semi-godly 17. There was one position player who took this game back to the X-Cats: Ahman Green and his 20 points. This battle should’ve defaulted to the defensive battle. Problem is, the Cats had one (and a nice one scoring 27) and the ‘Canes didn’t. As a result, they lose their fourth straight. This Space for Rent (1-5) d. South Fl Jets (4-2) 46-40 It’s the battle of the quarterbacks (DUN dun DUN)! Okay, maybe not. This QB battle is possibly the worst in league history, with a combined -4 between the two teams there. The rest of the game was better. Not much, but it proved two things. The first is that TSfR can win by edging an opponent out when it needs to. The second is that the Jets indeed had an easy schedule the first half of the season. They could both be playoff bound if TSfR continues its roll, and South Florida stops its fall at this one game. Toronto Fumblers (2-4) d. Dunedain (1-5) 72-36 Dunedain, well, fumbled. Again. We may have to rename “fumble” to “Dunedain”. A Sammy Morris 10 was the best thing Dunedain could come up with to face the steady production of Toronto. Nothing was very good on Toronto’s side. Here’s the catch: eight of nine players scored at least 7. That’s 56 right there. Add in a couple of higher scores, and Toronto stops its Dunedain- er, fumble right there. Cooney Quest (5-1) d. The Lightning (4-2) 55-54 I don’t know where to start on this one. Fact of the matter is, Conney won another game by a low margin. Running game went to The Lightning. Receiving went to Cooney. Everything else was dead even. The difference could very well be Brett Favre going 3 points up on Marc Bulger. They did it again, and the Quest now sit alone on top. The Borg (2-4) d. The Shoats (4-1-1) 35-34 This should not have been remotely close. The Shoats have Dunedained for the second week in a row. Tiki Barber’s 14 did absolutely nothing, most likely because his partner in the other RB position got nothing, and receiving combined for 1. The Borg had its own ace up its mechanical actuator. Their defense scored 22 of their points, allowing The Borg to assimilate their third victim. Valleygirls (4-2) d. JC's Juggernauts (3-3) 85-42 What can I say? The Valleygirls lived up to their reputation again this week. Emmitt Smith (12) keeps scoring, Joey Harrington (16) keeps throwing matzhaballs, Javon Walker (12) catches his share, and Baltimore (28) keeps running over opposing offenses (boy, did that last one sound wrong). The rest of the team was terrible, but they really didn’t need anything else to fight Kurt Warner’s waning days and an off week for Curtis Martin. Nor Cal Crushers (2-4) d. Stud Man Clan (2-4) 63-17 “The Clan have basically doomed themselves to defeat by leaving a roster spot blank and starting two players on a bye.” I’ll hold to Ed’s words this time. The Clan basically Dunedained this week. Of course, had none of the above been true, they still would’ve been hard-pressed to overcome Nor Cal’s 23 in receiving and a 21 on the defensive side of things. The Crushers literally crush the competition this week. Philly Cheesesteaks (4-2) d. Bonecrushers (5-1) 69-55 This is a game worthy of two teams who are now 5-2. Somebody had to lose. Byron Leftwich’s 18 combined with his Eagles contingent of Owens (17) and Philledelphia (11) looked good. Unfortunately, they came up against Philly’s McAllister, kicker, and the New Orleans DEF (they all scored 12). What makes this a win for the Cheesesteaks is the fact that everybody (except for one) cleared 5, while the Bonecrushers had absolutely no support. These two teams are now quite even. Mid-Season Analysis
Alright, we’re halfway through this season. Seven more weeks until playoffs. Here’s best of the first half:
Most Valuable QB: Peyton Manning (Philly Cheesesteaks) Philly has 478 fantasy points. Manning himself has just under a third of their total points. Here’s the kicker (pun not intended): the Cheesesteaks are 5-2. Honorable Mention: Byron Leftwich The Bonecrushers lost a tough one this past week, but Leftwich has been providing steady scoring all season. That appears to align with the Bonecrushers’ M.O. Best Running Game Priest Holmes (Rhode Island Charge) Rhode Island may be struggling due to bad judgment calls, but Holmes himself has blown all opposing running duos out of the water. The Priest is tops in the league with 11 touchdowns. He’d be even deadlier if the Charge could solve their other problems. They remain at 3-4 at the half. Honorable Mention: B.J. Sams & Corey Dillon The Monkeys went shaky the past few weeks, but were in the right every time their running game performed. While far from the best, it’s half the reason they’re in contention. Best Receiving Game Marvin Harrison & Reggie Wayne (The Shoats) Well, at least the first five games. They were silent in The Shoats’ two losses. But when they’re performing, you have one of the top teams of the league. They could be what carry The Shoats to the playoffs and beyond. Honorable Mention: Torry Holt & Donald Driver Holt has Marc Bulger throwing to him, and Driver has Favre. Cooney Quest has been able to take close matches with this duo. Most Valuable Kickers I had to split it between two good players which made an effect on standings. Adam Vinatieri (Cooney Quest) Cooney is at the top, and the only reason they are up top is the close games they edge opponents out in. And with every point counting, the pro-bowl kicker gets them what they need, when they need it. He has more than once been a difference in a win or a loss. Dan Ackers (Philly Cheesesteaks) Again, that 5-2 record has a lot to do with a performing kicker. The top scoring kicker, Ackers’s success has come from the fact that although he misses occasionally, he has an offense which scores touchdowns allowing him to kick PATs. Honorable Mention: Jason Elam Really, this is all high scoring kicker with a winning team. While The Shoats don’t get as much of a benefit from Elam as the previous two teams, he provides a small prop with respectable scores. Most Productive Offense Bonecrushers Led by the aforementioned Byron Leftwich and Terell Owens, every player on that offense manages to contribute. It’s essentially the reason why they’re in third place. Honorable Mention: Toronto Phantoms/Fumblers Their offense is more of a conglomerate than the Bonecrushers. They’re in the Honorable Mention portion because they had a string of tough losses earlier on. However, if they keep playing the way they the did the past two weeks, that’ll be a moot point. Most Dominant Defense Really, the only defense which has made a huge impact is the Valleygirls. However, the two honorable mentions are listed as such because both have a defense and defensive players at the top of the list. Valleygirls I mean, come on, it’s Baltimore. Supplemented by Jamie Sharper and Dat Nguyen, the Girls maintain their presence with this defense. Honorable Mention: Dunedain Dunedain is in last place, but only because of a terrible offense. Their defense is composed of Derrick Brooks, Mike Peterson, Lamont Thompson, and Pittsburg. It’s probably the only thing they can cheer about right now. Honorable Mention: Rhode Island Charge This defense helps keep Rhode Island’s fantasy scores up. The Giants, Ed Reed, and Keith Brooking (and Michael Strahan to a lesser extent) all made themselves known in the Charge’s three wins. The Playoff Picture With seven weeks left, technically, nobody’s eliminated yet. Keyword there is technically. The Hurricanes and Dunedain have had nothing going for them this year, and are most likely not going to make it. On the other side of things, Philly, the Bonecrushers, and the Valleygirls look solid for playoff activity. Everybody else has a catch (including the team in first; more on that later). The Shoats are running on two losses in a row (and that tie may kill them in the end). The Monkeys and X-Cats have both stopped a downfall with one win. No clue if that can hold, however, if it can, look for those two teams in the playoffs. The Lightning are probably the most average team in the league, who have been ebbing and flowing all year. I’ll put them in as a good choice for playoffs. The Jets, on the other hand, have gotten all their victories on the teams at the bottom. They need to pick up on the scoring, or they’ll just start sinking when the tougher teams arrive on the schedule. The lower half of the league is led by the Charge. Rhode Island has a few roster issues to sort out, but also with the ebb and flow pattern they’ve been having, combined with a relatively easy schedule the second half, they may take a low spot in the playoffs (and the high fantasy score can only help). Toronto started fumbling after week one. In week six, they started a small winning streak. With an even difficulty of schedule, if they can keep on their roll, they’ll also make it. The Juggernauts took off in the early weeks, and then faded away. In my opinion, this fading can only increase. The Borg and Nor Cal may pull surprises on us, but their fantasy scores are quite low due to them beating up on lower teams. TSfR just started winning, and have a small chance at making it, and the Clan can’t afford their only periodic wins. Which leaves us with our anomaly: Cooney Quest. Their record says they’re the best. Their average margin of victory says differently. I seriously have no clue where to place them, or even if they’ll make the playoffs. The league is so close that Cooney could drop three games, and be back in tenth. And the fact that they’ve been squeaking by only makes this more of a possibility. It’ll be exciting to watch what happens. And with that, my half-season review is done. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to finally get some sleep. Here's to an exciting playoff hunt. |
Re: League II Week VII Analysis
Koko's X-Cats (4-3) vs. This Space for Rent(2-5)
This matchup features a pair of enigmas at quarterbacks. Carson Palmer for the X-Cats and Vinny Testeverde for the Renters. Whomever comes to play on Sunday goes a long way to determining the winner, Another question is can Ahman Green outperform the Renters Thomas Jones and Mewelde Moore. Rhode Island Charge (3-4) vs.The Lightning ( 4-3) The Lightning are going to need big games from Edgerrin James and Rudi Johnson to cover for Tim Rattay but they may have their hands full overcomming Proest Holmes and Willis McGahee. South Fl Jets (4-3) vs. Coco's Monkeys (4-3) Manning could be huge for the Monkeys which is good because Corey Dillon has been ailing this week and BJ Sams barely plays. The Jets LaDanian Thomlinson is hurting as well but Bettis is well rested getting to dive in within 5 yards to get easy fantasy points. Dunedain (1-6) vs Hurricanes (1-5-1) Battle of the cellar dwellers. The Canes may be in better shape with Donovan McNabb and Shaun Alexander ready to roll but hurting themselves leaving Issac Bruce who is on a bye in the starting spot. Dunedain will look to Clinton Portis to right the ship and hope that Kerry Collins doesn't kill them. Bonecrushers (5-2) vs.Toronto Fumblers (3-4) The Fumblers have been hot since changing their name but could be introuble going with rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and a pair of backups at runningback. The Bonecrushers got Byron Leftwich and Terell Ownes and that could prove to be enough. The Borg (3-4) vs. Cooney Quest (6-1) The Borg are making it pretty easy for the Quest by still starting the benched Brad Johnson, the on-a-bye Marshall Faulk and the injured Brain Westbrook. A motivated Brett Farve may be all the Quest need(Farve's wife has been recently dianosed with cancer and last time Brett got smacked square upside the head by tragedy he played exceptionally). JC's Juggernauts (3-4) vs. The Shoats (4-2-1) The Shoats could get some nice production from their two recievers Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison. The running game is fairly even so the Juggernauts hope to score an advantage in the quarterbacks with Kurt Warner over Jake Delhomme. Nor Cal Crushers (3-4) vs.]Valleygirls (5-2) The win could come down to who has the better day. Emmit Smith for the Valleygirls or Fred Taylor for the Crushers. Javon Walker could be a secret weapon for the Valleygirls. Philly Cheesesteaks (5-2) vs. Stud Man Clan (2-5) Daunte Culpepper could kill the Clan himslef but the Clan seem intent on hurting themselves by leaving a starting running back spot blank. |
