Whitepaper strangeness

I doubt this is a bug, but it is rather annoying:

Almost all files I download from the whitepapers section can not be viewed without saving them to a specific spot on my hard drive. Firefox open (when using the "save with..." extension) and the IE save dialog both have the same problem. When I just open the file, the correct viewing program opens (Acrobat or Word), but when the program finishes loading, it pops up with an error that the file is "missing" or not in the right spot or something. Normally, when you open something rather than saving to disk, the file is just saved to some temp folder and opened from there, but for some reason it doesn't work for whitepaper files...

I don't think it's a problem with CD itself, because it works just fine for me, 'course there could be some compatibility issues?

What file types have you had succes with? I think I remember certain filetypes not working. PDF and ZIP definitley don't.

PDF, ZIP, XLS, and DOC have all worked for me.

now this is only when I save the files to my hard drive. If you attempt to simply open a file, it won't work.

That's what I'm talking about. Sorry for the unclear wording, that first post is a model of un-clearness...

I have a problem opening from site or saving to desktop then opening. It downloads the correct size file and eveything but you go to open it and it says it is missing.
