Neat gmail programs
I found a program that will forward all your mail from your normal mail program (not other webmail, though) to gmail. The mail will show up as from the original person and with the original subject line, and all your filters will work. They will show the old date and time in the original message, but will show the current date and time in your inbox. They will show up as unread.
http://www.marklyon.org/gmail It took about 3 hours to forward over 4000 messages. What other neat programs related to gmail have you found? |
Re: Neat gmail programs
There was one in the Gmail Invite thread that transfered all your emails from one web serice to another, including GMail. Also, there is GTray, an app that's in your system trey that says if you have a new message, and a gmail option built right into the dev tools for Firefox.

Re: Neat gmail programs
Search slashdot for 'gmail' and there will be an article linking you to a bunch of applications for gmail. A few are listed here. I like the Gmail new mail notifier I found for Firefox. It's in my top tool bar and fits in nicely, displaying simply how many new mail messages there are.

If you look under "Other Utilities" there you can see some more programs. I really like that "Pop goes the Gmail"
